Hotel Description
You know what? I’ve walked down Calle Trajano probably fifty times, and I still do a double-take every time I pass Hotel Boutique Casa Romana Villa. It’s one of those places that just sits perfectly in Seville’s old town – not trying too hard to announce itself, but definitely making a statement. The building has this gorgeous restored facade that actually fits with the Roman-era street name (they weren’t kidding about the Romana part), and honestly, the location is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with the absolute chaos of the tourist center.
What really got me was how they’ve managed to keep that intimate boutique feel while still delivering on the four-star promises. The rooms have this warm, sophisticated vibe – think rich fabrics and carefully chosen antiques mixed with modern touches that actually work. I mean, you’re not going to find a massive pool or a sprawling lobby here, but that’s kind of the point. The staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing, and check-in was refreshingly smooth (no small feat in a historic building where everything has to work around 400-year-old walls). The neighborhood gets lively in the evenings – you’re close enough to the buzzing tapas scene that you’ll hear some street activity, but it’s not the kind of noise that’ll keep you up unless you’re an incredibly light sleeper.
Here’s what I really appreciate about this place: it sits right in that sweet spot where you can walk to basically everything worth seeing in the old quarter, but you’re not paying those premium prices you’d shell out for a place directly on the main cathedral square. Plaza de Armas is literally a few minutes away if you need to catch a bus, and the tiny side streets around here are packed with those hole-in-the-wall bars that locals actually frequent. The hotel itself feels like someone put real thought into making it special rather than just filling rooms – there’s attention to detail in the way they’ve restored original elements while keeping everything functional for modern travelers. At an 8.9 rating, it’s clearly hitting the mark for most people, and after spending time in the area, I can see why. It’s got that rare combination of character, location, and genuine hospitality that makes you want to come back to Seville just to stay here again.

Perfect location for walking around Seville. The hotel has its own unique personality, characterised by exceptional attention to detail and authentic sculptures and design features. The welcome glass of chilled sparkling wine was a nice touch and the roof terraces and mini rooftop pools were a beautiful setting and welcome relief from the heat of Seville.

Great value for money. Much classier than the price I paid which was a pleasant surprise. Lovely shower.

Outstanding value for money: great location, lovely attractive room and the shared areas all tastefully decorated. Good quality toiletries provided – a rarity these days. Staff were extremely helpful too. Highly recommended.

Staff was very friendly and gave us more information about Sevilla, what to do and where to eat. The room was small, but it contained everything you need for a citytrip: a very good shower, clean toilet, very big and comfortabel bed and pillows. There where also very nice additional gestures that made the stay complete.
What could be improved: The pool is located in the sun, without and shade. It was very hot when we were there, and so it was not refreshing.Chia-tung from Netherlands – 31 May 2025 (9/10)
The room is super spacious, and we got a free upgrade. The welcome drinks and snacks are also a plus. The air conditioner works perfectly and that is extremely important when we staying during the heatwave period. The hotel's location is also very convenient. It is close by all the shopping area and the mushroom is just a 5 minutes walking distance.
What could be improved: There is a metal screw in front of the clothing cabinet which is designed for the door stopping, but my boyfriend and I have kicked on it multiple times when using it, so this is not a very safe/smart design. In addition, there' no sufficient table or drawer place for us to put our stuff at the shower room.Dean from United Kingdom – 28 May 2025 (9/10)
The location was fantastic and even for a disabled person very accessible. Reception staff are helpful and very friendly. We were here when the power outage happened and staff allowed us to use the pool and have drinks without the need for payment.
What could be improved: I don’t have anything bad to say.Mark from Netherlands – 27 May 2025 (9/10)
Very good premises and very friendly staff
A true small luxury boutique hotel

Location was very good – easy to get to all key attractions and some lovely local restaurants. We walked everywhere. The main rail station is about a 25 minute walk, which was fine for us. Just remember to book your rail tickets to other towns in advance! We were lucky enough to get to Cordoba and Huelva, but missed out on Cadiz because we didn't pre-book the train.
Breakfast was plentiful and there was a good choice.
The "family" team were always on hand and ready to help and, indeed, were very supportive.
