Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in Seville, and Hotel Casa 1800 is honestly one of those places that gets everything right without trying too hard. It’s tucked away on Rodrigo Caro – this tiny street that most tourists walk right past because they’re rushing toward the cathedral. But that’s actually perfect, because you’re literally thirty seconds from all the major sights without dealing with the constant stream of tour groups outside your window.
The building itself is this beautifully restored 19th-century mansion, and I mean they really did their homework with the renovation. You walk into this gorgeous central courtyard with original tiles and this fountain that’s just subtle enough – not one of those obnoxious splashing ones that keep you up at night. The rooms have these high ceilings that actually matter in Seville’s heat, and the air conditioning works properly (trust me, I’ve learned to check this the hard way). What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night. Even though you’re in the heart of the old town, the building seems to just absorb all the street noise. Well, except during Semana Santa or Feria – but honestly, nothing’s quiet then anyway, and you’ll want to be out experiencing it.
The staff here knows their stuff about the neighborhood, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how rare that is. They’ll tell you about the little tapas place around the corner on Mateus Gago that doesn’t look like much but has the best montaditos, or how to cut through the small streets to avoid the crowds when you’re heading to the Alcázar. Parking’s always a nightmare in this part of Seville – I mean, the streets were built for horses, not cars – but they have a deal with a garage nearby that’s actually reasonable by old town standards. The breakfast is solid too, nothing fancy but proper Spanish tortilla and decent coffee, plus they set it up in that courtyard when the weather’s nice. One thing to know: the rooms facing the street can get a bit of noise from late-night revelers, especially on weekends, but honestly that’s just part of staying in the center of a Spanish city. If you’re a super light sleeper, just ask for a room facing the interior courtyard when you book. The whole place just feels right, you know? Like someone actually thought about what travelers need instead of just what looks good in photos. It’s got that 9.3 rating for good reason – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Seville, but it nails all the things that actually matter when you’re exploring this incredible city.

Not sure you can beat the location or the view from this hotel. It's just a few steps away from the cathedral and the rooftop pool offers an incredible view. The room was spectacular.
What could be improved: Trying to order drinks/food when up at the rooftop pool didn't work and we had to go downstairs to order.Marion from United Kingdom – 12 June 2025 (10/10)

Very good hotel in a superbly restored historical building.

Fantastic location, steps away from the cathedral. Hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating.
What could be improved: There were only a couple of minor things I would change (room with a window outward facing rather than into the atrium. We also spent a day round the rooftop pool.. ideally needs to have a few more sunbeds as it gets busy in the afternoon). Other than that, a fabulous hotel and would recommend.Glenn from United States – 27 May 2025 (10/10)

What an amazing stay we had. This will be our go to hotel for Sevilla now. From the welcome at check in, free afternoon tea, an insanely beautiful room and easy check out, the hotel went above and beyond. We entered our room to a bottle of champagne which was really kind of the staff. Our room was huge! The bed comfortable and we had the most amazing sleep because of the block out blinds

This is an elegant, boutique hotel in a terrific location. Even though it’s in the middle of historic district, inside the hotel is quiet luxury.
