You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from ISG Apartments Mezquita 5 when I first booked it – honestly, the name sounds sort of corporate and bland. But walking up to this place on Calle Mezquita, I actually got a little excited. The building has this understated elegance that fits perfectly with the old Seville vibe, and you’re literally steps from the cathedral without being right in the tourist chaos. I mean, you can hear the horse-drawn carriages clip-clopping by in the morning, but it’s not constant noise – more like a gentle reminder that you’re in one of Spain’s most beautiful cities.

The apartments themselves surprised me in the best way. They’ve managed to keep that traditional Andalusian feel (think exposed brick and wrought iron details) while actually making everything work for modern travelers. The kitchenettes are small but functional – I made coffee every morning and grabbed fresh bread from the panadería around the corner on Calle Mateos Gago. Speaking of which, that little street is where the locals go for tapas, not the touristy spots closer to the cathedral. The beds are comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are clean with decent water pressure, which… well, anyone who’s stayed in old European buildings knows that’s not always a given. What I really appreciated was the air conditioning – Seville in summer is no joke, and this place keeps you cool without sounding like a jet engine.

Here’s the thing about the location that really makes this place special: you’re in the heart of everything, but you’re on a quieter side street. The Mezquita-Catedral is maybe a three-minute walk, the Alcázar is five minutes the other direction, and you can easily walk to the Triana neighborhood across the river for dinner. But when you want to escape the crowds, you just duck back to your apartment. I loved sitting by the window in the evening with a glass of wine, watching the light change on the narrow street below. The only minor downside? No parking on-site, but honestly, you don’t need a car here anyway – everything’s walkable, and if you’re driving in, there are public lots nearby. The staff was helpful when I needed restaurant recommendations, and they actually gave me good local spots instead of the obvious tourist traps. For a 4-star place with solid 8-out-of-10 ratings, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for: comfort, character, and a real sense of being in Seville rather than just visiting it.

  Lovely apartment and wee terrace in a fantastic location. Communication with the host was fast and efficient. Comfy beds and all amenities need for our stay.

  Fabulous location with all the right ammenities provided. Short stroll to cafes, restaurants and tourist locations. Would book again. Parking was a 15min walk from the apartment and suits small car (very tight if you’re not used to Spain’s city parking).

  The location of these apartments is fantastic, we were able to walk to all the locations we wanted to see.
  The owners provided great information in advance of our trip and some brilliant foodie suggestions as well.
  
  What could be improved: We were in the split level apartment, ground and lower floor. Bedroom is on the lower gloor, it had no natural light and had noise from the water pipes from apartments anove.
  I always take ear plugs when visiting a city location so this helped us. And eould not put me off returning, just good to be aware of, or select a higher apartment.

  Super location. Lovely outside area . Good airco. For a 3 day stay we had everything we needed.
  
  What could be improved: The stairs ! Too many when carrying heavy suitcases. Good for keeping fit though !
  Some instructions for the washing machine would have been useful.

  The property was within walking distance to all the attractions. It had all the supplies we needed to cook breakfast and dinner.
