You know what? I was honestly skeptical when I first looked up La Buhardilla’s address – Calle Parras isn’t exactly the street everyone talks about when they’re planning their Seville trip. But that’s actually what makes this place so perfect. You’re right in the heart of the old town (I mean, proper old town, not the touristy edges), tucked away on the first floor of this gorgeous building that feels like stepping into someone’s elegant Spanish home rather than a hotel.

The thing about staying here is that you’re living like a local without sacrificing any comfort – and honestly, the 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there. The apartment itself has this wonderful lived-in sophistication; it’s clearly been thoughtfully designed but doesn’t feel sterile or hotel-chain generic. I loved the morning routine of making coffee and watching the street come alive below – Calle Parras gets this amazing golden light in the early hours, and you’ll hear the delivery trucks making their rounds to the nearby bars and shops. Speaking of which, you’re literally a three-minute walk from some of the best tapas spots that locals actually frequent (not the ones with English menus plastered outside). The cathedral bells will definitely wake you up if you’re a light sleeper, but I actually found it charming after the first night.

What really sets La Buhardilla apart is how it strikes this perfect balance – you get that authentic neighborhood feel without being stuck somewhere inconvenient. I could walk to Plaza de Armas in about eight minutes, but more importantly, I felt like I discovered the real rhythm of Seville just by stepping outside each day. The check-in was smooth (they actually met me at the building, which was clutch since finding apartment entrances in the old town can be… well, an adventure), and parking isn’t terrible if you know about the lot near Plaza del Duque – though honestly, you won’t need a car once you’re settled. Fair warning: the stairs are narrow and a bit steep, so pack light or be prepared for a mini workout with heavy luggage. But that’s just old Seville for you, and it’s totally worth it for the location and the experience of staying somewhere that feels genuinely special rather than just conveniently located.

  The flat was squeaky clean. As soon as we opened the door we could smell how clean it was. It’s a very pretty and well kept apartment so we really enjoyed staying there. It is pretty close to everything by our standards (10 min walk from Setas Sevilla, about half an hour to the Cathedral and Royal Alcázar) as we like to walk instead of taking public transport. Our host was very nice and helpful as well so it was a very pleasant stay, I cannot recommend enough ☺️

  The apartment was modernly decorated, and felt very cozy. There was everything we needed. And it is very close major touristic attractions as well nice restaurants and bars. The host is also very friendly and accommodating.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately, the air conditioning was not functioning well and with the high temperatures of Seville it was bit hard to sleep.
