I’ll be honest – when I first stumbled onto Plaza de San Agustín, I almost walked right past La Casa de San Agustín because it’s tucked into this gorgeous old building that just blends seamlessly with the historic architecture around it. But that’s actually the whole point, you know? This isn’t some modern hotel that screams “tourist trap.” It’s a 4-star place that feels like you’re staying in someone’s beautifully restored family mansion right in the heart of Seville’s old quarter.

The location is honestly incredible if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with the chaos of the main tourist drags. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the cathedral – I mean, you can see the Giralda tower from some of the upper floor windows – but Plaza de San Agustín itself is this quiet little square where locals actually hang out. There’s this tiny tapas bar on the corner where I watched the same group of older Spanish men play cards every evening around 7 PM. The hotel’s entrance faces the plaza, so you get that authentic neighborhood feel while still being close enough to walk to the Alcázar in about five minutes. Parking is… well, it’s the old town, so forget about driving here. But honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t need a car anyway.

What really gets me about this place is the attention to detail that you only notice after staying a few days. The rooms have these beautiful tile floors that stay cool even in summer (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in July), and the staff – particularly this woman at reception named Carmen – actually remembers your name and asks how your day went. The building itself has that traditional Andalusian courtyard thing going on, with plants everywhere and this lovely fountain that creates just enough ambient sound to drown out any street noise. Speaking of noise, the plaza gets pretty quiet after about 10 PM, which is rare for central Seville. The rooms facing the square are peaceful, though if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe ask for one of the interior rooms – there’s occasionally some late-night chatter from people walking through.

The whole place has earned its 8.9 rating honestly. It’s not flashy or trying too hard, but everything just works. The WiFi is solid (tested it extensively while working from the courtyard), the beds are actually comfortable, and the bathrooms have proper water pressure – small things that matter when you’re traveling. The breakfast isn’t included, but there’s this incredible little café called Bar Eslava just around the corner on Calle Eslava that serves the best tostada con tomate I had in the entire city. Actually, staying here made me realize how much better it is to be embedded in a real neighborhood rather than stuck in the hotel zone near the river.

  La casa è molto pulita e luminosa con degli ambienti ampi, Puoi disporre di tutti gli elettrodomestici necessari al soggiorno, aria condizionata e acqua calda, inoltre hai in dotazione biancheria pulita e numerosi prodotti per l'igiene della casa e della persona. Al mio arrivo sono stata ricevuta da Veronica che è stata molto gentile nell'illustrare tutto e che si è resa disponibile per ogni eventuale necessità.   La ubicación y la limpieza. El apartamento estaba muy limpio.
  Muy amplio, tiene hasta una habitación extra de juegos por si viajas con niños.

  El trato fue sencillo y muy fácil. Los propietarios nos facilitaron la llegada y la salida en todo momento.
