You know what struck me first about La Casa del Lagar 10? The name actually makes sense when you see the place – it’s tucked into this narrow street that feels like old Seville before tourism took over completely. I mean, Calle Lagar isn’t one of those streets tourists accidentally wander down, which is honestly part of its charm. The building itself has that worn-in elegance that four-star places in Andalusia do really well – not trying too hard to be fancy, but clearly somebody put thought into the details. The entrance is understated in that way Spanish hotels nail better than anywhere else, where you’re not sure if you’re walking into someone’s restored family home or a boutique property.

What really gets me is how they’ve managed to keep the authentic neighborhood feel while actually being comfortable. The rooms – well, they’re what you’d hope for in a renovated townhouse without being precious about it. Good beds (important after walking Seville’s cobblestones all day), decent bathrooms, and windows that actually open, which is rarer than it should be these days. The 9.2 rating isn’t inflated marketing nonsense either – guests seem genuinely happy here, probably because the staff acts like they live in the neighborhood, not like they’re reading from a hospitality script. I’ve noticed they’ll tell you where locals eat breakfast instead of directing you to the overpriced café three blocks over that pays commissions.

Being in the old town means you’re walking distance from everything that matters – the Cathedral, the Alcázar, those winding streets around Santa Cruz – but Calle Lagar sits just far enough from the main tourist drag that you can actually sleep at night. That’s huge in Seville, where some hotels practically vibrate with flamenco shows and late-night revelry. Here, you get the authentic neighborhood sounds (church bells, the occasional moped, old men arguing about football) without the chaos. Parking is… well, it’s Seville’s old town, so forget about driving anywhere. But honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to leave this little pocket of the city anyway. The whole area has this lived-in quality where you can grab morning coffee at places that have been serving the same families for decades, then spend your evening wandering streets that haven’t changed much in centuries. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay because leaving feels premature – and at this price point in this location, that’s saying something.

  Hidden little gem in the centre of Old Town of Seville. Perfect location close to all amenities, extremely clean, very modern feel. Don't hesitate what you see is exactly what you get…absolutely amazing!

  Fantastic property right in the heart of the old town, immaculately clean with very good facilities (coffee machine etc). great host with excellent communication, friendly and very welcoming – helped with late check out – I would definitely recommend this apartment and host!
