Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about La Sillería de Triana? It’s tucked away on Calle Castilla in a way that feels deliberately hidden from the tourist chaos across the river. I mean, you’re still in Triana – which honestly might be my favorite part of Seville – but you’re on this quieter residential street where actual sevillanos live their daily lives. The building itself has that understated elegance that Spanish architects seem to nail effortlessly, and when you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about how people move through spaces. The apartments (because that’s really what these are) feel substantial – high ceilings, proper windows, kitchens you’d actually want to cook in if you picked up some jamón from the market down the street.

What really gets me about this place is how it sits in Triana without trying to scream about it. You’re maybe a five-minute walk from the Guadalquivir, which means you can stroll over to the Cathedral district whenever you want, but you get to come home to the real Seville. There’s this little tapas place around the corner that I stumbled onto – locals only, no English menu – and the woman running it started recognizing me by day three. The noise level here is just right too; you’ll hear some street life during the day, maybe some flamenco guitar drifting from somewhere in the evening, but it’s not the kind of place where delivery scooters are buzzing around at midnight. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving (honestly, just don’t drive in Seville), but the tram stops nearby and connects you to everything you need.

The rating of 8.9 makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be a flashy five-star palace, but everything works the way it should. The Wi-Fi actually works, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. I particularly loved having a proper fridge and coffee setup; there’s something about making your morning cortado while planning your day that just feels right. The staff knows their stuff too – not overly chatty, but they’ll point you toward the good ceramics shops on Calle Alfarería or tell you which flamenco shows are worth your time versus the tourist traps. If you’re the type who wants to experience Seville like you’ve got a local friend letting you crash at their place – well, a really nice friend with excellent taste – this is exactly that kind of spot.

    The property was really nice, clean and had everything you need. The jacuzzi is really nice after daylong activities.

    What could be improved: Weirdly no apartments have any towels or kitchen paper in the kitchen.

    Location was good. Able to stop & drop off cases before parking. Near to bars & restaurants. A gentle walk by the river into town. Great our apartment was on the ground floor with use of an outside shady terrace.

    Recently renovated apartment, great location 10 mins walk from the historic centre but plenty going on locally with shops and restaurants close by. Lovely private terrace and hot tub. All facilities for a great stay. Would return.

    Lovely apartment – so close to all of the sights of Seville.
    Booking.com had an error on their website, which said it has a double bed and TWO sofa beds, when in fact it only had ONE. As we were travelling with 2 teens, this was hugely problematic for us. The apartment management were lovely, but ultimately couldn’t do anything for us, so we had to make it work.
