Hotel Description

Honestly, when I first walked up to the Lanza Suite Apartment on Calle Lanza, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect – the entrance is pretty understated, which I actually love because it means you’re not dealing with tourist crowds hovering around some flashy hotel lobby. You’re right in the heart of Seville’s old town here, and I mean *right* in it. The narrow cobblestone street has that authentic Andalusian feel where you can hear your footsteps echo off the centuries-old buildings, and you know what? There’s something magical about unlocking your own apartment door instead of sliding a key card into some generic hotel room.

The apartment itself surprised me – it’s way more spacious than you’d expect for old town Seville, where most places feel like they were designed for people who were apparently much smaller 400 years ago. The ceilings are high (thank god, because Seville gets *hot*), and there’s this really nice balance between keeping the historic character and having modern stuff that actually works. The kitchen is small but functional – I mean, you’re not going to be hosting dinner parties, but you can definitely make coffee in the morning and store those amazing olives you’ll inevitably buy too many of at the Mercado de Feria. Speaking of which, that market is maybe a 10-minute walk, and the route takes you through some of the prettiest side streets where you’ll see locals hanging laundry and old men playing dominoes.

What really sold me on this place was the location – you’re close enough to the Cathedral and Alcázar that you can walk there in about 15 minutes, but far enough away that you’re not constantly swimming through tour groups. The street itself is pretty quiet at night, which is saying something for this part of the city where the nightlife can get… enthusiastic. I slept really well here, actually. During the day, you’ll hear some street noise – delivery trucks squeezing down these impossibly narrow streets, the occasional motorbike – but it’s the kind of ambient city sound that makes you feel like you’re really living somewhere, not just visiting. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me; it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it nails what it’s supposed to be: a comfortable, well-located base for exploring Seville. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the WiFi can be a bit spotty in the bedroom (works fine in the living area), but honestly, when you’re this close to some of the best tapas bars in the city and those gorgeous orange tree-lined streets, you probably won’t be spending much time staring at your phone anyway.

    Great location and very quiet

We loved the location and how quiet it was considering it was so centrally located. The support staff was amazing and extremely helpful – they booked our taxi home which was important as we were travelling at 4am with two small kids. Apartment had all the necessary facilities to prepare meals and even do a washing.

    Overall we highly recommend it.

What could be improved: The only downside was the switches kept tripping when the washing machine was on, this was annoying.

Also there is almost no natural light in the apartment however it didn't bother us since we were back in the apartment when it was dark in any event.

In a quiet street, close to everything you want to custody. Nice comfy bed and good bed linen and towels. Everything you could need for a short stay.

What could be improved: Staff from the hotel opposite sat smoking on the step the whole time so couldn't open the window.

Felt a bit claustrophobic as all the windows are on the ground floor and open into a shared hallway.

  • Mary from United Kingdom – 18 June 2024 (7/10)

What could be improved: lack of natural light and hotel staff sitting on doorstep smoking. They were also very loud outside bedroom window when talking

  • Sarah from United Kingdom – 24 March 2024 (8/10)

The property was spacious and clean with a washing machine which was a bonus. Very central to all the city sights where you can walk within easy distance. Close by to bars and restaurants as well.

What could be improved: Previous guests mention about it being dark and it is a little with the apartment on the ground floor. There are windows but like many places in Spain in the towns and cities not a lot of natural sun light comes through but to be fair you are always out wondering the fabulous city so it’s not a biggie. Parking is close by but I recommend parking at Escuelas Pias it’s 24 hours and Costs 20 euros – (it’s all the same unless you want to chance leaving the car on the road) it was the easiest and closest to find nearby.
The internet wasn’t working as the displayed info was out of date. Difficult to get a response from the hosts but we found the right one in the folder. You are greeted by someone but we did find it hard to contact people if we had a question re parking and internet

  • Yana_p from Ukraine – 9 November 2022 (8/10)

Communication with the owners was very very good, efficient, very nice and welcoming team, appartment is clean and cute

What could be improved: Only 1 window for the whole appartment, the street is quite noisy

  • Thashveen from Mauritius – 9 June 2025 (9/10)

    Everything was amazing:
    + perfect location
    + fast internet connection
    + well equipped kitchen
    + super friendly host
    + comfortable bed

  • Rahma from Italy – 3 November 2023 (9/10)

The flat's location was great just 15 minutes walk to the Alcazar palace and Old cathedral, in the heart of the historical center so we did everything by foot. The flat was very clean, comfortable and had all the necessities. Valentina who came to give us the keys was so nice and available throughout our whole stay, provided us with many suggestions to visit this wonderful Sevilla town. Overall an amazing stay, we wish we had extended our trip a few more days !
