Hotel Description

You know what really struck me about Like Home Sevilla – Museo? The name actually makes sense once you’re there. It’s tucked into this gorgeous old building on Abad Gordillo, which honestly feels more like a residential street than a tourist zone – and that’s exactly why it works. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Cathedral (I timed it), but you’re staying where actual sevillanos live and work, not in some sterile hotel district.

The apartment itself – because that’s really what this is, a proper apartment rental that happens to have hotel-level service – sits on the first floor of what I’m guessing is an 18th or 19th century building. The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense of space and light that you just don’t get in traditional hotel rooms. The ceilings are high, the windows are these massive things that actually open (revolutionary concept, right?), and honestly, the whole place feels like your friend’s really well-decorated flat in the old quarter. The kitchen is fully equipped too, which came in handy when we grabbed jamón and cheese from the little market around the corner on Calle Alemanes – there’s something deeply satisfying about making coffee in your own space after wandering the morning streets of Sevilla.

What I loved most though was how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re on this quiet residential street, so you can actually sleep with the windows open without dealing with the usual old town chaos (though you’ll still hear the occasional horse-drawn carriage clip-clopping by, which is oddly charming at 7 AM). Walk five minutes in any direction and you hit the major sights – the Alcázar, the Cathedral, those winding streets around Plaza Santa Cruz where tourists get deliriously lost. But walk the other direction toward the river and you’ll find yourself in spots most visitors never see, like the Sunday morning scene at Plaza del Cabildo or the tiny bars along Calle Dos de Mayo where locals actually drink. The 8.9 rating makes total sense when you consider you’re getting the space and comfort of a high-end apartment rental with the reliability and service of a proper four-star place. Check-in was smooth, the place was spotless, and when we had a minor issue with the WiFi, someone was there within the hour. It’s that sweet spot between authentic local experience and actually functional travel accommodation – which, let’s be honest, isn’t always easy to find in Sevilla’s old quarter.

  We loved absolutely everything about this property, didn’t want to leave, the location was so convenient to everything, place was super clean & comfortable & Javier was outstanding to deal with, we couldn’t be happier.

  The location was very nice. A quiet street only 5 minute walk to the beginning of the shopping and restaurant areas. Well appointed with coffee pods, tea, etc.. Very close to some neighborhood restaurants away from the tourist.
  
  What could be improved: The shower door wheels or track should be replaced. It was really difficult to open and close the shower door. Two hands are required to grab the side and really put effort into moving it.

  The apartment is clean and comfortable. Location is closed to everything and within walking distance to sightseeing places. In addition, the host is very friendly and responsive to your message. We are very satisfied with our stay. Highly recommended.

  There was some juice crackers and water. Unfortunately, our flight was badly delayed, so we were very late arriving. Javier was very helpful in everyway. After I asked, he even sent us a link on day of departure or a lock/safe close by, to leave our luggage for a few hours. This was also very reasonable and 3 mins from apartment. An impeccable service indeed!

  Easily accessible with key pad entry for keys meaning arriving late at night was easy check in.

  The location is fantastic, situated in a lovely local community setting that connects to the hustle and bustle of the city centre in less than a 5 min walk. Javier was very welcoming and sent us great local information via WhatsApp for anything we needed. The apartment is spotless and there was air conditioning in each room which was very welcome in the city heat. I can’t recommend it enough. We will be back.
