Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about LIRIUM Casa Patio? The name actually undersells it. I mean, sure, there’s a lovely patio – but honestly, the whole place feels like stepping into one of those perfectly imperfect Sevillian homes that locals have been passing down for generations. It’s tucked away on Callejón Virgen de la Luz, which is basically this narrow little street that most tourists walk right past on their way to the cathedral. Smart move staying here, because you’re literally in the heart of the old town but on a side street quiet enough that you won’t hear every group of late-night revelers stumbling back from the tapas bars.
The building itself has that worn-in authenticity that you can’t fake – thick walls that actually keep the rooms cool during those brutal Seville summers, and floors that creak just enough to remind you you’re somewhere with real history. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to modernize without losing the soul of the place. The rooms aren’t huge (this is a 3-star in a centuries-old building, after all), but they’re thoughtfully laid out with those high ceilings that make everything feel more spacious than it actually is. The staff clearly knows the neighborhood inside and out – they pointed me toward this tiny family-run tapas place on Calle Mateos Gago that I never would’ve found otherwise, and it ended up being one of my best meals in the city.
Here’s the thing about the location that really matters: you’re maybe a three-minute walk from the cathedral and Alcázar, but you’re also close enough to the Alameda de Hércules area that you can easily wander over there for dinner without feeling like you’re trekking across the city. Parking is… well, it’s Seville’s old town, so forget about driving here. But the nearest metro stop is walkable, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t need anything beyond your own two feet. The 9.1 rating makes perfect sense when you think about it – this isn’t trying to be some luxury palace, but it absolutely nails what it is trying to be. It’s the kind of place where you actually feel like you’re living in Seville for a few days rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense.

Location was great, super clean and comfy. Rooms were very quiet and there was no street noise. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Location is everything to me. Staff were very nice.
What could be improved: I was on level zero next to the entry door. The first night I could hear it slam at least three times – it woke me up. The other nights it did not bother me.Brenda from United Kingdom – 9 May 2025 (10/10)
The rooftop terrace was a lovely, quiet place to relax after a day of sightseeing.

The decor is fantastic, I was in this apartment when the entire electricity of Spain went down. I had no cash on me and the owner was kind enough to give me €10.
The internet is great, shower facilities are amazing. And everything is very high quality, which makes the stay quite nice.
Would happily stay here again, the hotel is located in a safe area, close to local amenities, and also very central.Edina from United Kingdom – 14 April 2025 (10/10)
Had such a great experience at this hotel! The staff were always lovely, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. The hotel itself is immaculate with beautiful design touches that make it feel really special.
The room was comfortable, though it could use a bit more storage—especially a drying bar for towels in the bathroom. Breakfast wasn’t quite to my taste, but I found an amazing local café just around the corner that I ended up loving.
The rooftop pool was a highlight—such a relaxing spot with great views. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, which made it perfect for a restful stay. I would definitely comeSigrun from Iceland – 11 April 2025 (8/10)
Very helpful lady that assisted with locating lost suitcase. This was much appreciated

This place was an absolute gem. It's in a great spot and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful. We actually had an alarm go off in the building in the middle of the night which the emergency services attended and so the management offered us a refund for the night, which I thought was very kind. The breakfast that can be purchased as a breakfast basket for 12 euro was plentiful.
What could be improved: Could do with a few more hooks to hang things up.Onnalee from United States – 26 March 2025 (8/10)
Breakfast was good. Enough for breakfast and lunch.. Walking distance to main attractions. Plenty of shops, restaurants, ATM, tapas bars in neighborhood. Easy to get a taxi from there. Quiet. Building was completely updated all new fixtures. Very clean.
What could be improved: Wish they had a staff person on site. Pool was very small.Natalie from Bulgaria – 17 March 2025 (10/10)
Incredible experience at Lirium Casa Patio. Super friendly staff, clean and tidy room, gorgeous rooftop pool with relaxing soft Spanish guitar music. Really well located – right next to Casa Pilatos, walking distance to the Cathedral and Álcazar and my fave brunch spot – Alfonsito. I highly recommend the hotel and will be back the next I’m in Sevilla (which I would do in a heartbeat- the city has allure and charm due to its mix of Christian and Islamic culture and a lot of passion!)

10/10 would definitely recommend! Great location to walk to all of Seville's main attractions, room and hotel have top notch facilities and Antonio was really responsive and helpful in messages to make this a perfect stay.
