Hotel Description

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Living-Sevilla Apartments San Lorenzo when I first booked it – the name’s a bit of a mouthful, and apartment hotels can be hit or miss. But walking up to the corner of Lumbreras and Santa Clara, I actually got excited. The building has this understated elegance that fits perfectly with the old town’s vibe, and you know what? The location is absolutely killer. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of everything – I could hear the gentle hum of evening conversations drifting from nearby tapas bars, and the scent of orange blossoms from the courtyard mixed with that distinctive smell of old Seville stone that you get in this part of town.

What really won me over was how the place manages to feel both spacious and cozy at the same time. The apartments are properly sized (thank god, because so many European “apartments” are basically closets), and they’ve got this modern-meets-traditional thing going on that doesn’t feel forced. The kitchenettes are actually functional – I made coffee every morning and even cooked a simple dinner one night with ingredients from the little market on Calle Feria. The beds are comfortable, which honestly surprised me since apartment hotels sometimes skimp on that stuff. One small thing though – the street-facing rooms can get a bit lively on weekend nights, but it’s not unbearable, and if you’re the type who needs absolute silence, just ask for a courtyard-facing room when you book.

The neighborhood is where this place really shines. You’re a five-minute walk from the Cathedral (seriously, I timed it), but you’re also surrounded by actual Sevillanos going about their daily lives. There’s this tiny bar called El Rinconcillo just around the corner – it’s supposedly the oldest tapas bar in the city, and locals still pack it every evening. The staff at Living-Sevilla seem to know all these little spots; they pointed me toward a flamenco show that wasn’t touristy at all, just this intimate thing in someone’s courtyard that I never would have found otherwise. Parking can be tricky in this area – well, it’s tricky everywhere in Seville’s old town – but there’s a public garage about three blocks away that’s reasonable. Check-in was smooth, and they were flexible when my flight got delayed. The whole experience just felt… right, you know? Like staying in a well-appointed local apartment rather than some sterile hotel room. For a four-star place with solid ratings, it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense.

Reviews

  • Diane from United Kingdom – 3 June 2025 (8/10)

    The space was good

What could be improved: Kettle was a travel kettle and apart from not working properly was not big enough. No condiments for cooking were left eg salt, pepper, oil. Also no washing powder for the washing machine which was irritating!

  • Mary from Canada – 2 April 2025 (8/10)

Great location – street scene at alameda de Hercules was excellent. And just 2 blocks from the river/canal. Spacious apartment with decent kitchen facilities

What could be improved: Needed a dehumidifier as with the rain it felt damp inside all week (only interior access). Had to take damp clothes and towels to the terrace next door to dry them.

  • Mikail from Germany – 30 December 2024 (8/10)

Very good location to central curiosities, personal are very friendly people.

What could be improved: Relatively old equipment, beds are not comfortable, toilette papers could be more for 2 persons, flash was not working properly in bathroom.

  • Veronica from Romania – 29 November 2024 (8/10)

Very central and very good communication with the landlord. The breakfast at Bar el Badulaque is a plus, the staff there is friendly and nice, although not all speak good English.

What could be improved: Some facilities are outdated (furniture, air conditioning), but since we stayed more on the outside it was not that big of a problem. Wi-Fi did not work, the more far you got from the entrance, the weaker or non-existent the signal was. No signal in the bedroom.

  • Yaa__ser from Spain – 16 September 2024 (8/10)

    Almost everything was perfect ,
Even when I asked to have a late check out , they accepted
The home was really good with a balcony and even all the rooms had air-conditioning

What could be improved: The street smell was not good and because of that we couldn't open the window or use the balcony!

And one of the beds was not clean , and the bathroom downstairs does not have a really good hot water

  • Jiří from Czech Republic – 22 July 2024 (9/10)

Quiet place on the edge of the city center, comfortable bed, equipped kitchen.

  • Sean from United Kingdom – 15 June 2024 (9/10)

The staff were great, and really responsive over WhatsApp. The place was clean, tidy and everything I was told it would be.

It's a stones throw from the river and an easy walk into the centre of the city. There's plenty of places nearby to eat and drink, and bus stops are almost on the doorstep. I'd definitely stay again, and have already recommended it to family

  • Simone from Spain – 6 May 2024 (9/10)

The apartment was very comfortable and clean, the relation with the host easy and correct, the surrounding area is a very nice neighborhood of Sevilla

  • John from United Kingdom – 13 March 2024 (9/10)

Comfortable and in an excellent location. All facilities needed for a city break were provided.

  • Harry from Ireland – 23 January 2024 (9/10)

spacious apartment; clean, comfortable, great support service, excellent location

What could be improved: not very soundproof!
