You know what hit me first about this place? Walking into what feels like someone’s incredibly cool apartment rather than a typical hotel room. This loft-style ground floor flat on Calle Dos de Mayo sits right in the heart of Seville’s old town, and I mean *right* in it – you’re basically living like a local for however long you’re staying.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience authentic Seville without the tourist bubble. Dos de Mayo isn’t one of those streets that’s completely overrun with souvenir shops and overpriced tapas joints targeting visitors. Instead, you’ve got actual neighborhood bars where locals grab their morning coffee, and you’re still just a pleasant 10-minute walk to the Cathedral and Alcázar. I loved that I could duck out for groceries at the little market around the corner or grab incredible jamón ibérico from the deli two blocks down – stuff you just can’t do when you’re stuck in a hotel district.

The flat itself has this wonderful industrial-meets-cozy vibe that actually works. High ceilings (which, trust me, you’ll appreciate during Seville’s intense summers), exposed brick elements, and enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The ground floor situation is great if you’re hauling luggage or planning to come back late from flamenco shows – no elevator waits or narrow staircases to navigate. Though I should mention, being on street level means you’ll hear some neighborhood life, especially on weekend evenings when the Spanish nightlife kicks into gear around midnight. Personally, I found it charming – the sound of people chatting and laughing as they wandered between tapas bars – but light sleepers might want to pack earplugs.

What really sold me was how thoughtfully set up everything was. The kitchen actually has proper equipment (not those sad hotel kitchenettes), so you can make real meals with all those amazing ingredients from Mercado de Triana if you’re into that. The bathroom feels modern and spacious, and there’s good natural light throughout the day. Plus, the wifi actually works well – I was able to video call home without any issues, which honestly can’t be said for every place in Seville’s thick-walled old buildings.

The whole experience feels like you’re borrowing a friend’s apartment rather than checking into accommodation, if that makes sense. You get your own keys, come and go as you please, and there’s no lobby full of tour groups planning their day trips. It’s that sweet spot between the personal touch of a local stay and the reliability you want when you’re traveling. With ratings consistently in the high 8s, it seems like most people leave feeling the same way I did – like they discovered something special without paying resort prices for it.

    Amazing location in the heart of Sevilla .. comfortable and spacious.. exactly like the pics

    What could be improved: Only thing was that there was one cup and one mug.. although there were dishes and utensils.. tea and coffee..

    The check-in was very easy and the instructions were super clear regarding the access to the accommodation.

    The accommodation itself was spotless clean, stylish, very unique, had everything we needed.

    It is perfect for a 1 night stay in the city center. We wish we planned more time there as it's near to all the attractions…

    Air conditioning, microwave, all facilities worked perfectly.

    What made it super unique is the style and my husband loved it. It's like a perfect man's cave with very good finishing and style.

    What could be improved: Somehow the no actual room separation gave us less privacy as all the area, including the kitchen, living room, shower, toilet is in 1 huge room with no walls to the ceiling.

    The location was great – close to a lot of things and we were basically able to walk everywhere we wanted. Check in and out were very smooth.

    What could be improved: It’s a ground floor flat and we had to keep the shutters always closed as there are no net curtains or screens to offer privacy from the street when the windows are open. The toilet is essentially in the same room as whoever you’re sharing the space with, as there isn’t really a full wall to enclose it, so it’s quite embarrassing if you’re using the toilet and the other guests are eating in the kitchen – hopefully you’re comfortable with one another!
    There was no laundry detergent provided so make sure to bring some if you want to do your laundry. A dish rack would be useful when washing crockery.

    What could be improved: The stay was disappointing due to several issues: poor-quality shampoo provided, absence of body wash, a cockroach found in the room, unpleasant humidity smell, pillows that were uncomfortably low, water leakage, and a noisy boiler. Additionally, these concerns had already been raised previously in August but were not addressed
