Honestly, when I first saw the address Plaza Virgen de los Reyes, I thought it might be too good to be true – I mean, you’re literally steps from Seville’s cathedral, which usually means tourist trap territory. But this apartment actually delivers on the promise, and then some.

The location is just ridiculous in the best way possible. You wake up and the Giralda tower is right there, close enough that you can hear the bells (which, fair warning, do ring pretty regularly). The plaza itself is this gorgeous little square that most tourists rush through on their way to the cathedral, but staying here means you get to see it at different times of day. Early morning before the tour groups arrive? It’s magical. The building itself feels authentically Sevillian – none of that over-renovated stuff that strips away character. Walking up to the second floor, you get that sense you’re staying somewhere with real history, you know?

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to make it feel luxurious without losing that authentic Seville charm. The apartment is genuinely spacious – and I say that as someone who’s stayed in plenty of European “apartments” that turned out to be glorified closets. The windows facing the plaza let in this amazing light, though if you’re a super light sleeper, just know that the Old Town does come alive at night. It’s not rowdy exactly, but there’s definitely that Spanish evening energy drifting up from the streets below. The kitchen is actually functional too, which matters if you want to grab some jamón and cheese from the market and have a proper breakfast instead of paying tourist prices at every meal.

You’re in the absolute heart of everything here – the cathedral is obviously right there, but you’re also a quick walk to the Real Alcázar (get your tickets online, seriously), and the Santa Cruz neighborhood with all its winding streets and hidden plazas is basically your backyard. I loved being able to duck back to the apartment during that brutal afternoon heat that hits Seville in summer, then head back out when the city comes alive again around sunset. The narrow streets can make it tricky if you’re driving – honestly, I’d recommend just taking a taxi from wherever you’re coming from and then exploring on foot. That whole area is really meant for walking anyway.

What struck me most was how this place lets you feel like you’re living in Seville rather than just visiting it. Sure, you’ll still do all the touristy things (and they’re worth doing), but there’s something about staying right in that historic core that changes the whole experience. You start to notice the rhythms of the neighborhood, the way the light hits the buildings at different times, the sounds that drift through the windows. It’s the kind of place that makes you understand why people fall hard for this city.

  The location is beyond imagination. Rooms are perfect, a lot of extra space which give you luxury feeling. You paid for what you got.

  Great location and nice living area. The apartment was exactly as we expected given the photos. The location is amazing if you want quick access to all the local attractions. The best thing however was our host organiser, Miguel. He did a brilliant job of helping us with suggestions, booking restaurants, other events, taxis etc. it made our few days much better. He is a super star,it is worth staying here just to get his help!

  The location was amazing. Very close to all amenities. Stunning view of the cathedral. The accommodation was wonder.
  
  What could be improved: The shower could be a little slow and the lift was tiny and only suitable for sending up the suitcases, but it was only a couple of flights of steps and it definitely wouldn’t put me off staying here again.

  The property is a beautiful, classical Spanish apartment with quality furniture and soft furnishings. We had a perfect view of the Cathedral and Giralda and we’re one block from the Alcazar! While we were in the heart of Seville, the property was very quiet. We were sorry we hadn’t booked to stay longer.
