You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to Lukanda Hospec on Calle Hernando Colón – honestly, the name alone had me scratching my head. But this little four-star gem actually surprised me in the best way possible. The location is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of Seville’s old town without dealing with the absolute chaos of the main tourist strips. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the Cathedral (I timed it), but far enough down this quieter side street that you won’t have tour groups marching past your window at 7 AM.

The building itself has that authentic Sevillian charm – you know, the kind where you walk through an unassuming entrance and suddenly find yourself in this gorgeous interior courtyard that makes you want to Instagram everything. The rooms are actually spacious, which is rare for old town hotels, and they’ve done this clever thing where they’ve kept the traditional tile work and wooden beams but added modern touches that don’t feel forced. My room had these beautiful shuttered windows that opened onto the courtyard, and honestly, sitting there with morning coffee while listening to the fountain was probably my favorite part of each day. The air conditioning works properly too – trust me, you’ll appreciate that in July when Seville turns into a beautiful oven.

What really sets this place apart is how the staff treats you like they actually want you there. Check-in was smooth, they gave me solid restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the typical tourist traps (the tapas place they suggested on Calle Mateos Gago became my regular spot), and when I mentioned I was worried about parking, they sorted out a deal with a nearby garage without me even asking. The breakfast is decent – not spectacular, but fresh and filling enough to fuel a day of wandering around the Alcázar and Santa Cruz neighborhood. Speaking of which, you’re perfectly positioned to explore on foot, which is really the only way to do Seville’s old town anyway. The narrow streets can be a maze, but you’re close enough to major landmarks that you won’t get hopelessly lost. I mean, I still got turned around a few times, but that’s half the fun, right? With a 9.1 rating, this place clearly knows what it’s doing, and after staying there, I get why people keep coming back.

  The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore all the main attractions on foot.
  We especially loved the swimming pool, which was a great way to relax and cool off after a day of sightseeing or even during the mid-day(take a break). Everything was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, and the attention to detail in the rooms and common areas really stood out.
  Our room was small but very cozy, with a warm and welcoming vibe.It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the ambiance added a lovely touch to our overall experience.
  
  Highly recommend Lukanda Hospec if you're looking for a charming, centrally located place to stay in Seville.
  
  What could be improved: During the night it can be quite noisy because at about 2-3 AM the public cleaning service comes to pick the trash. As we had just 3 nights booked here it didnt really bother us

  Loved the arty way the whole building was decorated. Well located, easy to find and having all the necessary facilities and features.

  The staff were amazing! Everyone was very kind and helpful. They are not there 24/7 which is nice- it kind of feels like a community home. It is blocks away from all of the main attractions which was convenient. Also be away that it is quite noisy because of this. It was not a problem for us though- it is very quiet at night. The bed was comfy and the shower was amazing. We ended up purchasing a similar shower head for our apartment back in NY because we liked it so much. There is a communal kitchen and everyone respected our drinks/food. We had a great stay and will absolutely return.
  
  What could be improved: (1) We had to purchase our own toilet paper when we ran out. (2) The only handrail on the stairs is a piece of glass and the stairs are a bit slippery. Not convenient for those with even a mild limit to mobility.
