Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Seville, and honestly, finding something that doesn’t feel like either a tourist trap or completely sterile is getting harder. But Lukanda Placentines? This one actually gets it right. The moment you walk through that heavy wooden door on Calle de Placentines – and I mean, you’re literally steps from the Cathedral here, like you can hear the bells from your room – you realize someone put real thought into this place.
The thing about this street is it’s one of those narrow cobblestone ones that most people rush through on their way to the big sights, but locals know it’s actually perfect because you get all the old-town atmosphere without the chaos of Sierpes or Tetuán. The hotel itself sits in what’s clearly a restored building that probably dates back centuries (this is Seville, after all), and they’ve managed to keep that authentic feel while actually making it comfortable to stay in. You know what I mean – so many places here either go full museum-piece where you’re afraid to touch anything, or they strip out all the character for modern convenience. The rooms have these gorgeous tile floors that stay cool even in summer, and the ceilings… well, let’s just say your Instagram is going to thank you.
What really sold me though was the staff – they’re not just friendly, they actually know the neighborhood. When I asked about avoiding the tourist crowds at the Cathedral, the guy at reception told me about the early morning entrance through the side door that most guidebooks don’t mention. And parking? Honestly, forget driving in the old town, but they’ll sort you out with a spot nearby if you need it. The rooms themselves are quiet considering you’re in the heart of everything – I mean, you’ll hear some street life during the day, but that’s part of the charm, and nights are surprisingly peaceful. The whole place just feels… lived-in, I guess? Like it belongs in this neighborhood instead of being dropped in from some hotel chain playbook. If you’re the type who wants to actually experience Seville instead of just checking boxes, this is where you want to be. Plus, and this might sound silly, but there’s something about waking up and having your morning coffee while looking out at these ancient streets that just makes the whole trip feel more real.

Great location and well appointed.. We didn't have a car so not sure about parking but it is in a pedestrian only area. It was walkable to all the historical sites. Beautifully decorated and there was an elevator.

Location was perfecto! We arrived and everyone was out having fun partying. A bit loud Friday night and Saturday was not do loud but they provided ear plugs so we slept well. location was spot on and close to so much.
What could be improved: Glad to have a nice makeup mirror and refrigerator. Bed linens were soft and bed and pillows comfy.Dawn from United Kingdom – 27 April 2025 (8/10)
Very central to everything and perfect for our stay.
We loved the roof terrace and the host was pro active and very friendly and welcoming via messenger.
The bathroom has been updated and there is now frosted coating over the glass doors so people are no longer visible while in the shower so please do not let previous views put you off booking!
Also we stayed during the Copa del Rey and although it was very noisy outside, the windows did a very good job of insulating the sound and I slept very well!
We would happily stay again if we are ever in Seville. A beautiful place to stay!
What could be improved: Nothing!Kate from United Kingdom – 14 April 2025 (9/10)
Apartment was in the perfect location for exploring Seville just be prepared for noise throughout the night – we had seen this in other reviews so knew to expect it. The apartment is beautifully furnished and very clean.
Peter from Canada – 11 April 2025 (8/10)
The location was in the heart of the old town. Close to all the attractions, restaurants and activities.
What could be improved: Being in the old town it was noisy late into the night and then again early in the morning.
The carpet in the living room was dirty and the floors didn't seem to have been washed. There is no dishwasher and no tea towel was available. Also, there is no broom or dust pan.
The bathroom was fitted with 2 vessel sinks that were impossible to use without spilling water all over the floor. Very little shelving in the bathroom.Nina from Canada – 15 November 2024 (8/10)
Location was perfect to explore Seville! Right in the heart of Seville near the UNESCO Real Alcazar, Cathedral and Giralda. Restaurants nearby and apartment was large with comfy bed; great open living room area for relaxing after a day of sightseeing!
