You know what struck me first about Luminosity Square Studio? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – and I mean that as a compliment, because honestly, most hotel names are just marketing nonsense. But this place on Calle Francos really does feel bright and airy, even though you’re smack in the middle of Seville’s old town where some streets barely see sunlight.

The location is pretty brilliant if you know the area. Francos is one of those narrow cobblestone streets that tourists walk down without really noticing, but it’s actually perfectly positioned between the main cathedral area and the trendy Alameda neighborhood. I stayed here in late spring, and while you’ll definitely hear some street noise (it’s Seville, people eat dinner at 10 PM and the conversations carry), it dies down by midnight most nights. The studio itself is well designed – not huge, but they’ve made smart use of the space. The kitchenette actually works if you want to grab groceries from the little Coviran around the corner, though honestly, with tapas bars like El Rinconcillo just a few minutes’ walk away, I barely used it.

What I really appreciated was how the place feels authentically Sevillian without trying too hard. The building has that classic old town character – thick walls that keep things cool, traditional tile work – but someone clearly put thought into the modern touches. The WiFi actually works (not always a given in these historic buildings), and the air conditioning keeps up even during those brutal July afternoons when the temperature hits 40°C. I mean, the bathroom’s a bit snug, but that’s pretty standard for old town conversions. The staff knows their stuff too – they gave me walking directions that avoided the tourist crowds, and their restaurant recommendations were spot-on.

Here’s the thing about staying in this part of Seville: you’re trading space and modern convenience for location and atmosphere, and this place gets that balance right. You can walk to the cathedral in eight minutes, but you’re also close enough to wander into neighborhoods where locals actually live and work. I’d definitely book it again, especially for a long weekend when you want to really explore the city on foot. Just pack light – those stairs up to some of the rooms aren’t elevator-friendly, and the narrow streets mean forget about pulling a big suitcase smoothly along the cobblestones.

  Emplacement extra en plein coeur des rues piétonnes (le taxi vous laisse à 50 mètres). Logement à 2 minutes de la cathédrale. Toutes les commodités sont donc disponibles au pied de l'appartement. Immeuble sécurisé, remise des clés faciles (boîte à clé, explication whatsapp)
