Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Lux Home – Sierpes Terrace? I was expecting another cramped old-town apartment rental, but this place actually feels like someone put real thought into making it work for travelers. The location on Calle Almirante Bonifaz is honestly perfect – you’re literally steps from the Cathedral (I mean, you can hear the bells, which is either charming or annoying depending on how you feel about 7am wake-up calls), but tucked away enough that you’re not drowning in tourist foot traffic.

The terrace is where this place really shines, and I get why they put it right in the name. Most hotels in Seville’s old quarter give you a tiny balcony if you’re lucky, but here you’ve got actual space to spread out with your morning coffee. I spent way too much time up there in the evenings – there’s something about watching the light change over those narrow streets while you can smell dinner cooking from the apartments nearby. The rooms themselves are well done, sort of that modern-meets-traditional thing that could go wrong but doesn’t here. Good AC too, which honestly matters more than anything else if you’re visiting in summer. The bathrooms are properly sized (not those phone booth situations you sometimes get in historic buildings), and the beds are actually comfortable – I slept better here than I did at some five-star places, to be honest.

What I really appreciated was how they handle the practical stuff without making a big deal about it. Check-in was smooth, they know the neighborhood well enough to give you real recommendations (not just the obvious tourist spots), and they understand that when you’re staying in the old town, you need to know things like where to park and which streets to avoid during processions. The building itself has character without feeling like it’s falling apart – you get those thick walls that keep things cool and quiet, but everything works properly. I mean, the shower pressure was great, which sounds silly but matters when you’ve been walking around Seville all day. The whole experience felt more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed place than a hotel, if that friend happened to live in one of the best spots in the city and actually knew how to host people properly.

    Such a beautiful apartment right in the centre with an amazing balcony. It’s equipped with everything you would need for a great stay. I really can’t fault this place. We loved it!

    A very nice apartment with 2 lovely bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
    The terrace is absolutely fantastic. Beautiful views and of course a bit noisy as in the main centre of town. Not a problem at night and you can use the air conditioning.
    There are a lots of steps and the second bedroom and bathroom is on a higher level than the living room and other bedroom.
    What was not so great that it smelled of pizza day and night as it has a pizzeria underneath. Not so much a problem for the first bedroom but the one on the top floor next to the terrace.
    It way very clean and well equipped.

    The central location couldn't be better for sightseeing and evenings out.
    The view from the balcony is unbeatable.
    Comfortable beds. All the facilities we needed but we only ate breakfast at the apartment so can't comment on cooking facilities.
    For anyone unsure of the layout, it's 3 flights of stairs up to the apartment. There are then 2 floors in the apartment with a bedroom and bathroom on each and access to the private balcony is on the top floor. The top floor bathroom is an unusual layout but is fine for a quick shower.

    What could be improved: As others have mentioned, sometimes there is a bit of a drain smell from the top floor bathroom.
    Although we were given very good instructions on how to enter the apartment and access the lock box for the keys, the keys hadn't been left by the cleaner so we had to contact the management company and then wait for someone to bring the keys.
    Also, I had politely requested a couple of times that if the apartment was ready early, if we could get in earlier than 3pm as our flight landed at 10am. When the keys arrived we were told the cleaner had finished a couple of hours earlier but no one let us know.

    The apartment has the best location in Seville!
    The terrace has an incredible view of the Cathedral and you have everything you need a few steps from the apartment, restaurants, bars, supermarket, cafés, stores…. Seville is a very walkable city and the apartment is very central from most attractions.
    We highly recommend the property!
