Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Sevilla, but this penthouse on Calle Goyeneta is something else entirely. The moment you step out of that tiny elevator – and I mean tiny, so pack light – you’re hit with this incredible view that makes you forget you’re right in the thick of the old town. The private pool isn’t huge, but honestly, after spending hours wandering around the cathedral and Alcázar in 40-degree heat, you’ll think it’s the most brilliant thing ever invented.
What really got me was how quiet it is up there. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Setas (those weird mushroom structures that everyone either loves or hates), and the streets below can get pretty lively, especially during weekend nights when the tapas crowds spill out of Bar Eslava around the corner. But once you’re on that terrace with a glass of Manzanilla, the city noise just sort of… fades away. The apartment itself feels properly luxurious without being stuffy – good air conditioning that actually works, which is crucial in summer, and a kitchen that’s actually functional if you want to grab some jamón from Mercado de la Encarnación and have a proper breakfast. The bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that makes you stay in way longer than you should.
Here’s the thing though – parking is going to be your biggest headache. The old town wasn’t exactly designed for cars, so you’ll probably end up leaving it in one of the public lots and walking. But honestly? That’s kind of perfect because everything you want to see is right there. I walked to the cathedral in about eight minutes, hit up the tapas spots on Calle Mateos Gago without breaking a sweat, and could stumble back after a few too many rebujitos without needing to figure out directions. The building itself is one of those converted traditional houses, so the stairs are a bit narrow (thank god for that elevator), but the character is incredible – thick walls that keep things cool, and you can tell someone put real thought into preserving the original details while making it work for modern living. The 8.9 rating makes total sense when you factor in that pool situation and the location. Sure, it’s not cheap, but if you’re doing Sevilla properly – especially in spring or fall when the weather’s perfect – this place lets you experience the city like you’re actually living there, not just passing through.

Great location central to lots of bars and restaurants as well as tourist attractions. Lovely rooftop pool to relax and a quiet neighbourhood.
What could be improved: Internal staircases a little bit precarious as no there were no handrails.Sally from United Kingdom – 10 May 2025 (9/10)
Great location
Clean and well equipped. Good showers
Nice outdoor space.
What could be improved: Second bedroom was small and snug for a couple. Luggage had to be kept in the downstairs hallway.
Downstairs bedrooms accessible by steep staircase so would be challenging for less mobile folk.Tim from United Kingdom – 24 March 2025 (9/10)
It was very central, tucked away down a quiet cobbled street. Ideally placed to visit all the sights, great for shopping and restaurants.
The outside space is wonderful, the pool was great to unwind in at end of the day.
Inside, the kitchen was very well equipped and the living space is beautifully presented.
What could be improved: The downside for us, the steps to the downstairs bedrooms were awkward and quite steep.
The second bedroom was very small, not great if you have a lot of luggage.Julie from United Kingdom – 19 March 2025 (8/10)
The location of the apartment is perfect. In a beautiful building in the Old Town. Very close to Las Setas and the Cathedral. The apartment is well stocked with comfortable beds and stylish furnishings. The plunge pool is very nice, but it was too cold and rainy when we were there. Stunning views towards Seville Cathedral. The apartment is quiet. You can't hear people above, below or next door. But you can hear people talking in the courtyard.
What could be improved: The towels were very small. The central courtyard was attractive- but people talking could be easily heard as the sound echoes.
The smaller bedroom needs a bedside table and lamp.
And instructions for the heating/air conditioning would be useful.
The bedrooms are on the floor below the living room and are very steep with no handrail at the bottom. It would be very difficult to get downstairs with heavy bags if you are elderly or disabled.Elaine from United Kingdom – 16 February 2025 (8/10)
Good location
What could be improved: The rooftop pool wasn’t open which was disappointingSarah from United Kingdom – 11 February 2025 (8/10)
Great location. Host was super responsive. Apartment finished to high standard.
What could be improved: The stairs! Have to be extremely careful going down. One of party slipped on bottom step and fell quite bad causing a chip to wrist. So take extra care! A tea towel / hand towel would have been appreciated. Having said that would still stay there again a lovely apartment , good value and great host.Main from United Kingdom – 11 December 2024 (9/10)
It was spotless, modern and had everything we needed. In warmer weather the outdoor space would be lovely.
