You know what struck me first about this place? The name actually delivers – Luz y Tranquilidad literally means “light and tranquility,” and honestly, that’s exactly what you get when you walk into this second-floor apartment on Calle Luis Rey Romero. I mean, finding decent accommodations right in Seville’s old town that don’t break the bank or stick you in some cramped tourist trap is harder than it sounds, but this spot manages to pull it off.
The location is pretty brilliant if you know Seville at all. You’re basically planted right in the heart of the historic center – I’m talking a genuine five-minute walk to the Cathedral, and you can practically hear the clip-clop of horse carriages from the tourist routes without actually being on top of all that chaos. What really sold me though was the free parking situation (hence the name, obviously). Anyone who’s tried to navigate a rental car through those impossibly narrow cobblestone streets will appreciate having a guaranteed spot. The building itself has that classic Andalusian feel – thick walls that actually keep things cool during those brutal summer afternoons, and the apartment gets this gorgeous natural light that filters in through traditional shutters.
Here’s the thing about staying in the old town that most people don’t think about – you’re going to hear church bells. Lots of them. But honestly, after the first night you’ll find it kind of charming rather than annoying. The apartment sits high enough that you get decent cross-breezes, which matters more than you’d think when it’s pushing 40 degrees in July. I loved that it felt like an actual home rather than a sterile hotel room – there’s a proper kitchen if you want to grab some jamón and manchego from the market down the street, and the living area has enough space to spread out after long days of wandering around the Alcázar or getting lost in the Santa Cruz neighborhood. The whole setup feels lived-in but well-maintained, if that makes sense.
What really impressed me was how the owners seem to understand what travelers actually need. There’s reliable wifi (not always a given in these old buildings), the air conditioning works properly, and they’ve got the check-in process down to a science. Small touches too – decent water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains for afternoon siestas, that sort of thing. The 8.7 rating doesn’t surprise me at all because you can tell someone’s paying attention to details without being fussy about it. Plus, being on the second floor means you avoid street-level noise but don’t have to haul luggage up four flights of stairs. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re living in Seville rather than just visiting it, especially when you’re sipping morning coffee and listening to the city wake up below.

Quick reaction from the staff, who are very nice and helpful . The appartment is very nice and clean, bright and in city center.
Parking is secure, all instructions are available.
What could be improved: The hot water didnt work the first day, but the staff responded immediatly and a technician came the next day and fixed it.

Very good location close to the main road, providing a quiet place to rest. A few minutes walk to the centre with a blessing of private parking makes it the perfect spot to plan sightseeing both on foot and by car.
As for the flat itself, it had all what's needed to enjoy the stay. Kitchen utensils, comfy beds, cosy pillows, blankets, A/C, etc

We spent 2 amazing daya in Sevilla and we couldn't be happier with our stay. The apartment is great – spacious, comfortable and clean. The neighborhood is calm and quiet and at the same time close to the historic center (everything in walking distance). The included parking spot is a massive plus as well for a city like Sevilla! We were met by the host, who was lovely and also very flexible despite our last minute delay for our arrival. Would 100% recommend for a stay in Sevilla!

Very clean, comfortable flat with easy access to parking from orbital road. 20 minutes walk to centre. We would definitely use this property again if we had a car.

Property perfect for two. Comfortable. Quiet location. Easy access by foot into shopping and bar and restaurant areas. Car parking so good to be able to securely and easily park and leave the car until its was time to go home. All areas of Seville so easy to reach by foot all week. Mar met us and was so helpful and kind taking her time to explain the sights and apartment instructions. We Have already recommended this apartment to friends who will likely book too.

The parking situation was great! The flat has everything and it was an overall comfortable stay.
What could be improved: If you are only staying for 1 or 2 nights and you’d be in a rush to see all tourist areas, the location is probably not best and prepare to walk ~30min or so to the Cathedral for example. If you stay longer it might be great as close by you have a nice local area of restaurants and cafes and cute streets!
