Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Magdalena Plaza City Center 1º? The fact that you’re literally on Calle San Pablo Primero – which sounds fancy but is actually this narrow, wonderfully worn cobblestone street that puts you right in the heart of Seville’s old town without the tourist circus you get closer to the cathedral. I mean, you’re still walking distance to everything that matters, but there’s something authentically Sevillano about the location that feels… well, honest.

The building itself has this interesting thing going on where it’s clearly been updated (thank god for the air conditioning, because Seville summers are no joke), but they kept enough of the original character that you actually feel like you’re staying somewhere with history rather than some generic chain hotel. The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully modern – clean lines, decent space for a city center spot, and honestly, the beds are better than they have any right to be for a 4-star place. What really got me though was how quiet it stays at night, which is kind of miraculous considering you’re smack in the middle of everything. I think it’s the way the building sits back slightly from the main pedestrian flow.

Here’s the thing about staying in this part of Seville – you’re about a five-minute walk from Plaza del Salvador, which locals actually prefer to the more touristy spots, and there’s this little tapas place around the corner (I won’t tell you which one because discovery is half the fun) where they do these incredible montaditos that cost practically nothing. The hotel staff actually knows this stuff too, which is refreshing. They’re not just pointing you toward the obvious attractions; they get that you might want to wander down toward the Alameda area in the evening or hit the Thursday market on Calle Feria. Parking’s a bit of a puzzle in this neighborhood – I mean, it’s old town Seville, so that’s expected – but they’ll sort you out with options that won’t bankrupt you. That 9.5 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen; it’s the kind of place where small details actually work in your favor, from check-in that doesn’t feel like a bureaucratic nightmare to rooms that stay cool even when it’s pushing 40 degrees outside.

  We had a pleasant stay overall! The home was clean, comfortable, and cozy, and the host was amazing. Very friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home.
  
  What could be improved: Small things could be improved. The layout of the house felt a bit odd, and the living room door didn’t close properly, which was slightly inconvenient.

  Everything was just perfect. The location is really central and practical. The apartment is well furnished with everything you need in an apartment. And the apartment is really beautiful. The host is also very helpful and thoughtful.

  The amazing location, the comfortable and well thought out setup, and the warm hospitality made this stay wonderful. Having come from a property in Barcelona, there was a stark and very pleasant difference with this host. Check in was very easy. Location felt safe, is very walkable, super clean, and asthetically pleasing. Very well equipped with everything from laundry detergent to shampoo and even some condiments. The balcony was a welcome treat with the great spring weather and perfect for drying laundry (picture). I can’t wait to come back soon with the rest of my family.
  
  What could be improved: Warm water runs out in a few minutes. We were only 2 people and take short showers, but basically only enough hot water for a single shower in the morning.
  Although only 1 floor up, just note that with no elevator and steep stairs, might not be suitable for some people, especially carrying luggage.

  Excellent location. Very central. Lots of places to eat nearby. Easy walk to the main tourist attractions near the cathedral. Apartment is lovely and has everything one would need. Great view out onto the street. Can open the balcony doors, step out and enjoy the view. Hosts are very friendly and stopped by to ensure we had everything. Parking garage right next door.

  Loved this place – brilliant place to stay and such helpful hosts. 2 nice bedrooms and a great kitchen and lounge. A very comfortable space and in a fantastic position. Easy access to sights, shops and plenty of restaurants. Definitely would come back – it was perfect!
