Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Seville hotels, and honestly? Magdalena Plaza City Center 2 caught me off guard in the best way possible. You know how sometimes a place just feels right the moment you walk in? That’s this hotel. It’s tucked away on Calle San Pablo – and I mean really tucked away, like you’ll probably walk past it twice before you spot the entrance – but that’s actually part of its charm. You’re literally in the heart of the old town, close enough to hear the clip-clop of horse carriages heading to the cathedral, but far enough from the main tourist drags that you won’t be dealing with crowds outside your window at 2 AM.

The thing about this place is that it gets the details right. The staff – well, they actually remember your name after day one, which sounds small but makes a huge difference when you’re fumbling with keys after a long day exploring the Alcázar. The rooms have this sort of refined simplicity that works perfectly in a city where you’re spending most of your time wandering cobblestone streets anyway. What I really appreciated was the soundproofing (trust me, this matters in Seville’s old quarter), and the air conditioning that actually works – crucial during those sweltering July afternoons when even the locals are hiding indoors. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious for a historic building, and they’ve managed to blend modern fixtures with traditional Spanish tiles in a way that doesn’t feel forced or touristy.

Here’s what really sold me though: the location is absolutely perfect for anyone who wants to experience Seville like a local. You’re a five-minute walk from Plaza de Armas where you can catch buses to the beach towns, three minutes from some of the best tapas bars that aren’t overrun with tour groups (El Rinconcillo is practically around the corner), and you can stumble back from the riverside bars along Calle Betis without needing a taxi. The neighborhood has this authentic rhythm – you’ll hear kids playing in the courtyard next door in the evenings, smell jamón ibérico drifting from nearby restaurants, and honestly, it just feels like staying in a real Spanish city rather than a tourist bubble. I mean, the hotel earns its 4-star rating through service and comfort, not flashy amenities you’ll never use. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself lingering in the lobby with a coffee, planning your day, instead of rushing out to escape generic hotel vibes.

  Location, close to everything!
  Restaurant, shopping, walking distance to everything. Beautiful place I only wish there weren't so many stairs, but all homes are like that in Europe. Would stay here again in the future.

  This is a lovely apartment, very spacious and clean. The location is fantastic- 10-15 min to the cathedral and Real Azcabar, 30 min walk to Plaza de España, 10 min walk to the Triana district, close to bars and restaurants as well as shops. It has all the amenities that one may need. I would definitely stay there again if I was travelling in a larger group. We were all impressed with the standard of this apartment.

  The accommodation is absolutely beautiful and in a perfect location. The living and bedroom space worked great for us as a family.
  The outdoor areas of the apartment are also great spaces. With a beautiful view from both areas of a lovely building across the road.
  We enjoyed watching the world go by from the living area.
  I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Seville, it makes the most enjoyable stay in a wonderful city.

  This apartment is amazing – we all want to live here! It is very spacious indeed – really well equipped – incredibly clean – nicely decorated and a superb location.
  
  What could be improved: Really couldn’t find fault with the apartment. The building has no lift but it’s only 2nd floor so manageable.
