Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Seville, and honestly? The Magno Apartments on Calle Alfarería kind of surprised me. You know how Triana has this reputation for being the “real” Seville – well, it’s not just tourist marketing nonsense. When you’re walking down this narrow street with the ceramic workshops (alfarería literally means pottery, which tells you everything about this neighborhood), you actually feel like you’re staying where locals live, not in some sanitized hotel bubble.

The first thing that hit me was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re maybe a ten-minute walk from the Cathedral across the Isabel II bridge. During the day there’s this gentle hum of neighborhood life – people chatting from their balconies, the occasional delivery truck squeezing down the street – but come evening, it’s surprisingly peaceful. And honestly, the private parking thing isn’t just a nice-to-have here, it’s practically essential. I mean, trying to park in central Seville is like solving a puzzle designed by someone who clearly hates cars. The apartments themselves feel more like staying in a really well-appointed local flat than a typical hotel room – there’s actual counter space in the kitchenette, decent-sized windows that open properly, and the kind of thoughtful touches that suggest someone who actually travels designed the place.

What really sold me on the area though was stepping out in the morning and grabbing coffee at one of the bars where you’ll hear more Andalusian accents than foreign languages. The Mercado de Triana is literally around the corner – not the tourist trap it could be, but where people actually buy their groceries and argue about which jamón ibérico is worth the price. You’re close enough to cross over to the main tourist sites when you want to (the views of the Giralda from the Triana side of the river are actually better than from most spots in the old quarter), but far enough away that you can retreat to something that feels authentic when the crowds get overwhelming. The apartments definitely earn that 4-star rating – everything works properly, it’s genuinely clean, and the staff seems to know what they’re doing. I’d honestly recommend it to friends, which I don’t say about most places I stay.

    location was good. close to nice restaurants, but away from busy tourist areas. apartment was clean and comfortable. host gave some great food recommendations

    The apartment is really nice, spacious and cozy in a lovely area of Seville. The location is quiet and close to the city centre, about 15 mins leasurly walk from the historical downtown of Seville. We had everything we needed in the apartment. The check in was easy and contactless, the instructions were clear and easy to follow. We got a lot of recommendations for restaurants and places to visit in Seville. Thanks for a lovely stay!

    What could be improved: One of the beds in the double room was noisy and making lots of sound when moving. Also we could hear the neighbours in the evening from the floor above.

    Despite one or two negative comments below our experience overall was good

    What could be improved: We would have benefited from instructions for equipment I.e. washing machine and rubbish disposal
    The single bed near the wardrobe creaked very badly at the slightest movement. If there had been two people in that room the other person would have gone crazy.
    The TV had all channels in Spanish. Previous experience is that there is usually at least one English speaking news channel and perhaps some sport.
