Hotel Description

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first turned onto Calle Atienza – it’s one of those narrow cobblestone streets in Seville’s old quarter that feels like it hasn’t changed since, well, probably the 16th century. But then you spot the Magno Apartments, and you realize someone really knew what they were doing when they renovated this place. The building itself has that weathered Andalusian charm, but step inside and it’s clear they’ve thoughtfully modernized everything without losing the soul of the neighborhood.

What really struck me about staying here is how it manages to feel both central and peaceful at the same time. You’re literally in the heart of old Seville – I mean, you can walk to the Cathedral in maybe eight minutes, and the Alcázar is practically around the corner. But here’s the thing about Calle Atienza that most people don’t realize: it’s tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups that plague some of the main thoroughfares. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious (and I say surprising because, you know, European city centers), with these gorgeous high ceilings and windows that actually open wide enough to let in those evening breezes that make Seville summers bearable. The kitchens are properly equipped too – not just a mini-fridge and hot plate situation, which is refreshing when you want to grab some jamón and cheese from the market and actually prepare a decent meal.

The staff here gets it, honestly. They’re not hovering, but they’re genuinely helpful when you need them. During my stay, the woman at reception (I wish I remembered her name) gave me the most detailed walking directions to this tiny ceramics shop I’d been hunting for, complete with landmarks like “turn left at the orange tree with the broken tile beneath it.” That’s the kind of local knowledge you can’t Google. One small heads up though – parking can be tricky if you’re driving, since the old town streets weren’t exactly designed for cars. But there’s a public garage about a five-minute walk away, and honestly, you’ll want to park and forget about the car anyway. The mornings are particularly lovely here because you catch the neighborhood before it fully wakes up – just the sound of shop owners hosing down their storefronts and maybe some early church bells in the distance. By evening, there’s usually a gentle hum of conversation drifting up from the street-level tapas bars, but nothing that keeps you awake. It’s that perfect balance where you feel connected to the city’s rhythm without being overwhelmed by it.

  • Toth-menato from Austria – 12 May 2025 (9/10)

We stayed 4nights as a family of 4 (5yo and 1yo boys). The apartment had a good size for us, the terrace was superb and we spent the evenings outside with the kids. The apartment was clean and has everything you need for a short or even longer stay. We really appreciated that the kitchen was so well equipped. The communication via WhatsApp/calls worked really well too. There is a supermarket around the corner. The location was superb too. Quite, yet central. It fit our expectations as a family.

What could be improved: The beds and pillows were too hard for us. But that's a matter of personal taste. Unfortunately the elevator broke down when we were there and was not fixed during our stay. But we were completely fine doing the stairs instead.

  • Eleanor from United Kingdom – 15 April 2025 (9/10)

Lovely apartment very close to the Setes, particularly liked the terrace overlooking small square with orange trees. Lots of cafes & restaurants in easy walking distance plus a small supermarket nearby.

What could be improved: Liked everything

  • Hardie-forsyth from United Kingdom – 6 April 2025 (10/10)

The location was perfect–easy to get to all the big sights. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the kitchen has all the conveniences you could want. It's a good sized apartment and the little balcony is a real bonus in the evening sun.

What could be improved: Honestly, everything was great. No complaints.

  • Scott from Canada – 23 March 2025 (8/10)

Location is excellent. Terrace was nice to have.

What could be improved: The bed is very firm; fine for some of that suits you.

The sofa in the main room is also a pullout. Perhaps it doesn’t close properly? Whatever the reason, the seating surface is angled forward and renders it useless as a lounging locations.

  • Gerd from United Kingdom – 19 February 2025 (10/10)

Fantastic location, beautiful apartment, very clean and well equipped. Lovely terrace.

  • Mandeep from United Kingdom – 12 April 2025 (9/10)

The communication was brilliant from the start and throughout the stay. The apartment was lovely in a great location and walking distance from most things.

What could be improved: Lacked hooks in the bathroom for clothes and the main bathroom doesn’t have a lock.

  • Artemis from Greece – 25 February 2025 (8/10)

Well organized and convenient. The Staff very helpful
