So I stumbled across Magno Apartments Casa Palacio Moratín during what I thought would be just another quick Seville trip, and honestly? It completely changed how I think about staying in the city center. The building sits right on Calle Moratín – which, if you know Seville at all, puts you smack in the heart of everything without being on one of those tourist-packed streets where you can’t sleep past 7 AM.

The first thing that hits you is that this isn’t trying to be some flashy modern hotel. It’s actually housed in what used to be a traditional Andalusian palace, and they’ve done this brilliant job of keeping all the original character while making it work for, you know, actual human comfort. The apartments – because that’s what they really are, proper apartments – have these gorgeous high ceilings and traditional tiles that keep everything cool even when it’s blazing outside. I mean, Seville in summer is no joke, but somehow these thick walls and the internal courtyard (there’s always a courtyard) create this perfect microclimate. You’ll hear the fountain trickling in the background, which sounds cheesy but actually becomes this soothing white noise that drowns out any street sounds.

What I love most is the location awareness – whoever runs this place clearly knows the neighborhood. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the Cathedral, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by the kind of tapas bars and cafés that locals actually use. There’s this tiny place called Bar Eslava just around the corner that does the best spinach croquettes I’ve ever had, and the morning coffee spot – I think it’s called Café Central – where you’ll see the same faces every day reading their newspapers. The apartment setup means you can actually live like a person instead of just passing through. Full kitchens, proper living rooms, and – this matters more than you’d think – really good water pressure in the showers.

Parking can be tricky around here (it’s old town Seville, what do you expect?), but they’ve sorted out some kind of arrangement with a garage nearby. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that hovering-over-your-shoulder hotel formality. They give you the keys, show you how everything works, and then leave you alone. The 9.4 rating makes sense when you experience it; it’s not perfect in that sterile hotel way, but it’s genuinely comfortable in a way that makes you want to extend your stay. I actually did extend mine by two days because the thought of leaving this little oasis to deal with airport hotels felt wrong. If you’re the type who likes having space to spread out and wants to feel connected to a neighborhood rather than trapped in a hotel bubble, this is your spot. Just book early – places like this don’t stay secret for long.

  Lovely property mixing local authentic design with modern amenities.
  The apartment was very well equipped and the beds were very comfortable.
  AC, showers and TVs worked perfectly.
  The swimming pool and roof top is a great treat after hour of walking in Seville.
  
  What could be improved: If you are facing the street it could be a bit noisy in the morning and evening but nothing that will stop you from sleeping.

  Gorgeous apartment in perfect location. Spotless, comfortable bed, beautiful courtyard entrance. Lovely little swimming pool. Couldn't fault it.excellent communication before and during stay . Friendly staff onsite.

  + Vriendelijk personeel, goede conciërge dienst.
  + Zeer proper appartement, zachte handdoeken, alles aanwezig wat nodig is.
  + Airco werkt ook nog wanneer je niet aanwezig bent.
  + 20’ van de luchthaven verwijderd
  + Degelijke slaapbank
  – Geen openbaar toilet in het hotel aanwezig, niet erg handig eens uitgecheckt.
  – Bij langer verblijf zouden extra propere handdoeken wel handig zijn.

  Quand on entre, l'effet Ouah! Appartement moderne très bien conçu, espace optimisé sans compter une très grande cour propre à notre logement. Piscine sur le toit très appréciable après une journée de visite sous la chaleur. Emplacement au top à 10-15 mns à pied des sites principaux et à 2 pas d'un supermarché.

  El apartamento se encuentra en el mismo centro con muchos sitios alrededor, Por dentro el lugar es bonito y limpio, Todo es tal cual esta en las fotos, La zona es tranquila, durante mi estancia no vi nada raro, Estuve muy a gusto.
  
  What could be improved: Lo único que no me gustó mucho fue la piscina que en fotos pensé que era más grande, por eso había reservado el alojamiento y cuando llegué parecía más una fuente que piscina, no estaba sucia pero también noté que mucho mantenimiento no tenía, Fue un poco el chasco que nos llevamos que no pudimos disfrutar de una piscina como queríamos.
