You know what caught me off guard about Magno Apartments Clavellinas? I actually drove right up to the front door and parked – which if you’ve ever tried navigating Seville’s old town with a rental car, you’ll understand why that felt like winning the lottery. Most places in this part of the city, you’re circling those impossibly narrow cobblestone streets for twenty minutes just hoping to find a spot three blocks away.
The building itself sits on this quiet residential street that honestly feels more like where locals live than where tourists usually end up staying. Calle Clavellinas runs perpendicular to some of the main drags, so you’re literally a five-minute walk from all the cathedral and Alcázar madness, but when you come home in the evening, it’s actually peaceful. I mean, you can still hear the clip-clop of horse carriages in the distance, but you’re not dealing with that constant hum of tour groups that never seems to stop in the heart of Barrio Santa Cruz. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious – and I say surprisingly because most places in Seville’s old quarter are basically converted 16th-century closets. These feel like someone actually thought about how modern people want to spread out a bit. The pool area was honestly my favorite discovery, tucked away in what I’m guessing used to be an interior courtyard. It’s not huge, but on those brutal July afternoons when the temperature hits 40°C and even the locals are hiding indoors, having somewhere to cool off without trekking to a public pool or the river is pretty much priceless.
What really sold me on the place though was how the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood. When I asked about where to grab coffee in the morning (not tourist coffee, but where people who live here go), they pointed me toward this tiny place on Calle Mateos Gago that I never would have found otherwise. And they were right about the timing too – apparently if you show up after 9 AM, good luck getting a table. Little things like that make such a difference when you’re trying to experience a city rather than just check boxes on a sightseeing list. The 9.2 rating makes total sense to me after staying there. It’s not trying to be some luxury palace, but everything works the way it should, the location gives you the best of both worlds (central but not chaotic), and honestly, that free parking situation alone probably bumps it up a full point for anyone who’s dealt with the alternative. If you’re planning to spend your days wandering around the cathedral, the Jewish quarter, and all those tiny tapas bars tucked into medieval alleyways, but you want to come home to somewhere that feels more like an actual apartment than a hotel room, this place hits that sweet spot perfectly.

Spacious room within the apartment, a very comfortable bed and the private spa was lovely after a day of exploring the city
What could be improved: There was no information or maps on how to navigate the streets which were very confusing for a new visitor and the property is approximately a 20 minute walk to the sights.

It was a fantastic location – really cool area. We loved having separate areas in the apartment. Although the pool was small it was so good to cool down at the end of the day. The kitchen included a stove top and was well equipped

Very nice and modern apartment with all the amenities needed. Very nice design and clean.
What could be improved: We had to wait 30 minutes after we arrived at 15:00 which was our check in time for the apartment to be cleaned. As we had our small baby with us this was a bit uncomfortable. The host was very helpful and we were able to leave our luggage in the apartment. The parking is very near, private and convenient. The apartment is very nice and modern. The rooftop as a nice small pool and chairs to relax. Location is great, very close to all the attractions. The blackout curtains were much appreciated. The beds including the sofa bed were very comfortable. Smart tv available!
