You know what struck me first about the Medina Apartment? It’s tucked right into this narrow cobblestone street that feels like stepping back in time – but honestly, the fact that they actually have parking in Seville’s old town is kind of miraculous. I mean, anyone who’s tried to navigate those medieval streets with a rental car knows what I’m talking about. The entrance on Calle Medina is easy to miss if you’re not looking for it, squeezed between those typical Andalusian buildings with their iron balconies and faded ochre walls.
The apartment itself has this authentic Sevillian vibe without feeling like a museum piece. The ceilings are high – really high – which keeps things cool even when it’s blazing outside (and trust me, Seville summers are no joke). What I loved was how they’ve kept some of the original details, like these gorgeous tiles in the bathroom that look hand-painted, but updated everything that actually matters. The AC works perfectly, the wifi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to make breakfast instead of hunting for a café at 7 AM. There’s something really satisfying about making coffee in your own space, then stepping out onto those ancient streets with your cup in hand.
Location-wise, you’re literally in the heart of everything but somehow it doesn’t feel touristy-chaotic. The Cathedral is maybe a seven-minute walk – I timed it because I’m weird like that – and you can actually hear the bells throughout the day, which sounds romantic until you realize they chime every fifteen minutes. The Real Alcázar is even closer, and here’s a local tip: if you walk there right when they open at 9:30, you’ll beat most of the tour groups. The neighborhood has this lived-in feeling too; there’s a tiny grocery store around the corner where the owner remembers your face after day two, and this bar – I think it’s called El Rinconcillo – that’s supposedly been serving tapas since the 1600s. Whether that’s true or not, their jamón is incredible. Evenings are when the area really comes alive, with locals spilling out of tapas bars and the sound of flamenco drifting from somewhere you can never quite pinpoint. The apartment stays surprisingly quiet though – those thick walls really work. I was worried about noise since we’re talking about the center of one of Spain’s liveliest cities, but I slept better there than I do at home.

The apartment was in a good location and had everything our family needed. The parking was a real plus although it’s worth noting it’s a bit tight to get in.

Great location in a quiet street close to local amenities. 10-15 minutes walk from the conference centre in one direction or the city centre in the other. The apartment had everything we needed and was clean and modern. The parking space was very useful – although make sure you hire a small car as the streets are very narrow.

Very nice apartment, with all the necessary facilities and a cosy feeling to it. The decorative touches were also pleasant. Comfortable and within walking distance of various points of interest (cultural, historic, culinary). Nice neighborhood and fairly easily accessible by car. The host was great and easy to communicate with!
What could be improved: Not necessarily a bad thing, but something guests should be warned about: the parking space is really tight and inexperienced or nervous drivers with medium or larger cars will have trouble getting in and out without a scratch. I strongly recommend to the host to actually measure the length and width of the parking space and provide that info for the property.
The one small issue I have with the apartment is related to the fact that the building is built such that it works as a sort of echo chamber, which makes it quite noisy at times. As per their request for letting them know arrival time I did just that 3 days in advance. Via WhatsApp. Having not received an acknowledgement I contacted again via text message, again no response, so on the day I messaged again only to be told best to communicate via WhatsApp, I said I had. Told Maria we would be there at a set time even sent tracking location on WhatsApp . On arrival I rang to say we are here in our car, on a single laned street, “ok” I was told, I will call you back in 3 minutes. 30
Minutes later I had a call back. We had expected to be met but received a video call instead with somewhat confusing details of how to gain access and even which apartment we had booked. Keys via a Key safe attached to the railing outside the block with 3 keys inside. I was then told what to do. It would have been useful to have had this information before we arrived. The positives are the apartment is within walking distance to all attractions, a great little coffee shop that sells pastries and coffee on the corner and several places to eat in the evening very close by. The apartment itself is clean and tidy, dishwasher still not working, freezer door doesn’t close properly as needs defrosting as per previously reported. A kettle would be useful as not everyone likes coffee and some instructions on how to use the microwave as I think this is also a cooker would be useful. I was not given any instructions what to do when I left the apartment so I put keys back in key safe, which I had luckily recorded the number when we arrived.

Ottima posizione, in pieno barrio Feria ma in una stradina residenziale, quindi assolutamente tranquillo. L’appartamento è grande e molto carino. Comoda anche la possibilità di usare il parcheggio condominiale gratuitamente, nonostante per entrarci la probabilità di rigare la macchina è altissima e lo spazio in sé per sé del parcheggio è stretto, un suv non ci entrerebbe. Nota positiva: ci è stato permesso di lasciare la macchina nel parcheggio per un paio d’ore dopo il check out.
What could be improved: Ci sono stati una serie di inconvenienti che non ci hanno minimamente soddisfatto: per prima cosa, non abbiamo mai visto l’host e per entrare nell’appartamento abbiamo dovuto fare tutto autonomamente seguendo indicazioni poco chiare (data anche la difficoltà dell’host di comunicare in inglese). Le chiavi erano riposte in un locker con combinazione difficile da aprire, che ci ha causato non poche difficoltà soprattutto quando siamo tornate per riprendere la macchina dopo il check out, tant’è che abbiamo dovuto chiedere ad altri inquilini di aprirci il garage rischiando di tardare la nostra partenza. Seconda cosa riguarda il riscaldamento, che in una delle due camere da letto non siamo riuscite a far partire, creando disagi per la persona che lì dormiva dato che le temperature hanno raggiunto i 3 gradi la notte; anche in questo caso aiuti da parte dell’host nulli. Infine, la doccia in uno dei due bagni era inutilizzabile a causa di una porta mancante. Immagino che prima o poi verrà sostituita e in questo caso l’host non abbia colpe, ma ci ha comunque causato qualche disagio e avremmo voluto saperlo prima.Maria from Greece – 18 November 2024 (9/10)
Το σπίτι αυτό είναι ένας πανέμορφος ,καθαρός και πολύ λειτουργικός χώρος σε απόσταση αναπνοής από όλα τα αξιοθέατα της Σεβίλλης ,σε μια ήσυχη γειτονιά ,με σούπερ μάρκετ σε κοντινή απόσταση,φανταστικά εστιατόρια και πάρκινγκ…η ιδιοκτήτρια του διαμερίσματος ευγενική και δυνεννοησιμη ,τι άλλο να ζητήσει κανείς ;
