You know what caught me off guard about Minty Stay? The name actually makes sense once you’re inside – there’s this subtle, fresh vibe throughout the whole place that’s hard to pin down but really works. It’s tucked away on Calle Flota in Triana, which honestly is the best part of Seville that most tourists completely miss. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the famous ceramic workshops and maybe ten minutes to cross the Isabel II bridge into the old town, but you get to sleep in the neighborhood where actual sevillanos hang out.

The building itself is one of those converted Andalusian townhouses – you walk through this unassuming door right off the street and suddenly you’re in this cool, tiled courtyard that feels like a secret. The rooms are surprisingly modern without being sterile (I was expecting either total old-school Spanish or that generic boutique hotel look). What I really appreciated was the attention to sound – Triana can get lively, especially during weekend nights when the flamenco bars are going, but the windows actually keep most of it out. Though honestly, you might want to keep them open anyway because the neighborhood sounds are part of the charm.

Here’s the thing about staying in Triana – you’re going to eat better than your friends who booked those fancy hotels near the cathedral. There’s this tiny tapas place called Casa Cuesta about three blocks away that doesn’t even have a sign, and the morning coffee at Bar Anselma (literally around the corner) is stronger than anything you’ll find in the tourist zone. The hotel staff actually knows this stuff, which is refreshing. When I asked about breakfast spots, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a generic map – he drew a little route to the market and told me which stalls have the best jamón.

The rooms themselves are clean and thoughtfully designed, though the bathrooms are a bit compact if you’re used to American hotel standards. But the beds are genuinely comfortable, and there’s this nice balance of exposed brick and modern fixtures that doesn’t feel forced. Air conditioning works well too, which you’ll definitely need if you’re visiting between June and September. Check-in was smooth – no pretentious lobby scene, just efficient and friendly service from people who seem to actually like their jobs.

What really sold me on this place was stumbling back late one night after exploring the riverside bars and realizing how perfectly positioned it is. You’re far enough from the cruise ship crowds but close enough that you can walk everywhere that matters. Plus, there’s something satisfying about staying in a four-star place that feels like a local secret rather than another booking.com generic option. The 8.5 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be the flashiest hotel in Seville, but it nails the fundamentals while giving you a genuine taste of the neighborhood. If you want to experience Seville like someone who lives there rather than just passing through, this is your spot.

  What could be improved: For 4,5 days stay of 2 people we were given a tiny ( 30 ml) bottle of shower gel and little piece of hand soap (both run up in the middle of a stay) even though in the description there was information, that toiletteries are provided. I have wrote to host to ask for extra shower gel and hand soap. The host refused saying that He was sorry for the inconvenience… . Honestly??

  Location is great, 2 min walk to Triana Bridge. Website photos are accurate. Staff is very helpful and easy to reach. Smart Tv with Netflix, YouTube, etc. Good Wi-Fi
  
  What could be improved: bathroom plumbing is broken and water leaks on the floor, into the bedroom if not stopped with a towel or something.
  Thin walls, you can hear neighbor’s plumbing, and any noise from the common space.
  I payed 100€/night, and it didn’t worth that much given the above issues

  What could be improved: Throw away rubbish after yourself (for what they have a cleaner)? Was very cold in a flat, no carpet, and because of the cold floor feet were freezing.

  친절했던 직원, 깔끔한 공간, 깨끗한 침구가 좋았습니다. 가족 3인 숙박이었는데 거실 소파 배드를 펼치니 넓어서 좋았습니다.
  메인 사진처럼 환하게 밝지는 않아요. 그래도 다양한 조명이 있어요. 마지막 숙박일 밤 8시 이후에 쓰레기를 스스로 배출해야 합니다.

  la casa è davvero carina e ben organizzata, in una zona tranquilla e vicinissima a piedi a supermercati e alle vie più turistiche. Triana è un quartiere bellissimo e a circa 20 minuti a piedi sei in pieno centro. la casa ha tutto quello che serve per pulire e per cucinare, la doccia e il bagno sono puliti e perfettamente funzionanti. carino il salotto con la postazione con divano e smart TV a cui puoi collegare i tuoi account. tutto pulitissimo. torneremo di sicuro
  
  What could be improved: unica nota negativa è lo smaltimento dei rifiuti. ci hanno avvisato di buttare i sacchetti nei cassonetti più vicino a casa Che sarebbero stati messi in strada dalle 20 in poi ma abbiamo girato il quartiere in lungo e in largo senza trovarne, ce ne sono soltanto due davanti a una residenza per anziani e non sappiamo se appartenevano soltanto a loro o a tutta la strada. questa cosa dei rifiuti dovrebbe essere più precisa magari con delle strade indicate in cui trovare i cassonetti.
