You know what caught me off guard about Minty Stay – Las Setas? The name actually makes sense once you’re there. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from those giant wooden mushroom structures (the Metropol Parasol), and there’s this fresh, clean vibe throughout the place that feels… well, minty. The building sits on Calle Escarpin, which is one of those narrow cobblestone streets that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into old Sevilla by accident – except you’re still close enough to everything that matters.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with the chaos of the main tourist drags. From your door, you can walk to the Cathedral in about eight minutes (I timed it), but you’re tucked away enough that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling back from the bars at 3 AM. The rooms have this modern, minimalist thing going on that somehow doesn’t clash with the historic building – whoever designed this place actually thought about it instead of just slapping some IKEA furniture in a 400-year-old space. The beds are legitimately comfortable too, which… look, I’ve stayed in enough European boutique hotels with mattresses that feel like they’re stuffed with good intentions and regret.

What really sold me on this place was the little stuff they get right. Check-in was smooth (they actually seemed happy to see me, imagine that), and the person at the desk gave me specific recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist spots. They told me about this tiny tapas place around the corner on Calle Mateos Gago that I never would have found otherwise – honestly some of the best jamón I had in the city. The WiFi actually works throughout the building, which shouldn’t be noteworthy but here we are. And parking… well, you’re in the old town, so forget about driving here. But the metro stop at Puerta de Jerez is close enough, and everything worth seeing is walkable anyway. The area gets busy during the day with people heading to Las Setas and the nearby shopping streets, but it settles down nicely in the evenings. I stayed there in late spring and the temperature was perfect for keeping the windows open at night – you get these lovely sounds of the city winding down instead of traffic noise. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to hang out in your room for a bit instead of just using it as a crash pad between sightseeing marathons.

  The design & decor of the apartment were gorgeous.

  What could be improved: The pool wasn't clean. On the surface there were a lot of dead flies and a film of grease. It was the same for all three nights so we didn't swim and that was disappointing.

  Excellent location. Great apartment and rooftop pool. Really comfortable and well equipped. Aircon worked brilliantly too. We had a great time in Seville.

  The apartment was good, nicely decorated. The location was near main attractions.
  
  What could be improved: The toaster was broken, toast didn’t go down fully. There was dampness smell in the main bedroom. Just outside the main entrance to the apartment there was rubbish thrown in black bag and squashed oranges for 3 days, that looked very unpleasant.

  Great location with the benefit of a roof top terrace and small pool. Having two bedrooms & two bathrooms worked well for our group. The accommodation was very clean and modern, a nice place to stay.
  
  What could be improved: The lack of storage or furniture to unpack clothes for the week long trip. Even wall hooks or shelves would make a great addition to both bedrooms.
  The room to the front of the apartment was noisy from quite early in the morning due to activity in the narrow street outside. Fine for early risers!

  The location was very close to the Setas of Sevilla in a very narrow street so no view. There is a very small patio in the center of the apartment where you can chill out. We were there in May, so the weather was nice but the apartment was very cold that could be great during the summer heat but during our stay it was raining, we got wet and could not to warm up. The airconditioning was not heating very good. There was also a bit strange smell in the apartment but it was very nice furnished and generally ok.
