Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Seville hotels, and Minty Stay – San Isidoro honestly surprised me. The name’s a bit quirky (still not sure about the “minty” part), but this place gets the fundamentals right in a way that actually matters when you’re exploring the old town. It’s tucked right on Calle San Isidoro, which – if you know Seville at all – puts you in this sweet spot where you’re genuinely in the historic center but not drowning in tourist chaos every time you step outside. You know what I mean? You can actually hear yourself think in the mornings, but you’re still a five-minute walk from the Cathedral and maybe eight minutes to those amazing tapas spots around Calle Mateos Gago.

The building itself has that restored Sevillian character thing going on – high ceilings, those beautiful old tiles in the lobby, but with modern touches that don’t feel forced. Check-in was refreshingly smooth (no standing around for twenty minutes while they “find your reservation”), and the staff actually knows the neighborhood. I asked about parking and got real advice, not just a shrug and a tourist map. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star – clean, comfortable beds, decent bathroom with proper water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in these old buildings. Mine faced the street, and while there’s some evening noise from people heading to dinner, it dies down by midnight. The AC works properly too, which… well, if you’ve been to Seville in summer, you know why that matters.

Here’s the thing though – what makes this place work is the location combined with the fact that it feels like someone who actually lives in Seville had a hand in running it. There’s a little café next door that does proper cortado, and you’re literally around the corner from Mercado de la Encarnación if you want to grab groceries or just wander through. The hotel sits in this part of the old town that still feels lived-in, not like a museum, which I appreciate. During the day you’ll see locals going about their business, kids playing in the small plazas nearby. It’s not Instagram-perfect every corner, but it’s real. The 8.8 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it delivers on what matters: comfort, location, and staff who seem to give a damn. If you’re planning to actually explore Seville rather than just take photos and leave, this is the kind of base that works.

  Apartment is a good size and is exactly as shown in all the photos. Good size living /dining room, bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom.
  Apartment is close to the city centre but very quiet at night. Felt safe going out, with lots of local restaurants, bars and cafes nearby.
  Only thing missing is local information in the apartment.

  The location is unbeatable – a 5 min walk to the gorgeous Gothic Cathedral. It’s warm, comfortable and the lovely staff made everything easy. It is up 2 flights of stairs but that was fine for us. We liked staying in a local, residential building. Also, so close to Bar Alfalfa that we loved- and they had vegetarian food!

  Location was excellent close to cafes, restaurants and all places of interest. It was very quiet and respectable area. Would definitely recommend it to others.
  
  What could be improved: Not enough towels and the blind in the bedroom didn't work. This would be a big problem in the summertime.
  It was also located on the second floor which could prove a problem for people with mobility problems.

  Excellent location for sightseeing and dining out. Only a 25 minute walk to Santa Justa train station, and a 15 minute walk from the bus stop the airport. Property was in a great state of cleanliness.

  Beautiful and clean apartment right in the center of all the popular sites yet it’s quiet so you can get a great night of sleep before exploring the next day. The place is fully equipped with everything you need! Minty Stay kept in contact and were there waiting when I arrived for an early check in which I was very happy about. I highly recommend!
  
  What could be improved: There are 2 flights of stairs so beware if you have a lot of luggage. it’s really dark at night getting into the courtyard and having to open 2 gated doors before going up but it also felt extremely safe so as long as you have a flashlight on your phone to see you’re good.
