So I stayed at MintyStay – La Campana last spring, and honestly? The name had me curious from the start – turns out it’s this perfectly restored townhouse tucked right into Seville’s old quarter on Calle Martin Villa. You know those narrow cobblestone streets where you can practically touch the buildings on both sides? That’s exactly where you’ll find this place. The 8.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s one of those spots that gets the big things right without trying too hard to impress you.
What really struck me was how they’ve managed to keep that authentic Sevillian feel without making you suffer for it. The rooms have these gorgeous high ceilings (thank god, because Seville in summer is no joke), and the air conditioning actually works – I mean, properly works, not that weak European AC you sometimes get. The whole building has this lived-in elegance, if that makes sense. Original tile work in the hallways, but modern bathrooms that don’t make you feel like you’re roughing it. I was in a room facing the interior courtyard, which meant it stayed surprisingly quiet even though we’re talking about the heart of the old town here. You’ll still hear the occasional late-night reveler stumbling home from the bars near Plaza de Armas, but nothing that kept me awake.
Location-wise, you’re maybe a seven-minute walk from the Cathedral – I timed it because I’m weird like that – and even closer to some of the best tapas bars that locals actually go to. There’s this tiny place called Bar Eslava just around the corner that does incredible montaditos, and honestly, half the reason I’d stay here again is just for that proximity. The front desk staff actually gave me directions to stuff I hadn’t even heard of, which is always a good sign. Parking is… well, it’s the old town, so forget about driving here unless you absolutely have to. But the Santa Justa train station is a quick taxi ride if you’re coming from Madrid or Barcelona. Check-in was smooth – they let me drop my bags early since I’d arrived on one of those crazy early flights, and by the time I got back from wandering around, everything was ready. Four stars feels about right for this place. It’s polished and comfortable without being flashy, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re spending your days getting lost in one of Spain’s most beautiful cities.

Location is the best. Surrounded by coffee shops, best attractions, close to everything! Mariana received us, she was very nice and friendly. The apartment is nice and comfortable. It was clean, except for the terrace.
What could be improved: The building had a very bad odor, specifically the elevator. We stayed for a week and we got very limited cleaning supplies and toiletries were also very poor. We had to buy everything and of course we didn’t use most of it. In other apartments we rent they supply the basics. The property is in a great location with great views of Seville. It is located close to all of the tourist destinations without being right in the middle of the tourist spot. It is also very close to the best pastry shop in Seville, La Campana.
What could be improved: The beds were extremely uncomfortable with one of the beds having stains on the sheets. There was a terrible smell coming from one of the bathrooms which caused us to purchase a bleach toilet cleaner to pour down the drains. The AC units were old and loud, and cold barely keep the place cool on hot days. The balcony furniture was old and dilapidated and needs to be replaced. The place in general was not very clean and there was a terrible ant problem. We have stayed in many vacation rentals in our 25 years of visiting Seville, and I'd have to say, this was the worst one so far.
