Honestly, when I first walked up to this place on Calle Butrón, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the entrance is pretty unassuming, tucked into this narrow cobblestone street that’s barely wide enough for a Smart car. But then you step inside and it’s like… wow. The loft-style space actually lives up to the name, with these soaring ceilings and exposed beams that make you forget you’re in a building that’s probably been standing since before Columbus sailed west. The duplex layout is clever too – you’ve got your main living area downstairs with this gorgeous open kitchen (marble counters, which honestly surprised me), and then the bedroom’s tucked up in the loft. It feels way more spacious than you’d expect from the street view.

What really got me though was the location – I mean, you’re literally in the heart of Seville’s old town, but on this quiet little side street where you won’t have drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 3 AM. You know that tourist trap area around the Cathedral where everything’s overpriced and crowded? Well, you’re close enough to walk there in five minutes, but far enough away that you feel like you’ve discovered some secret local hideaway. The morning light comes streaming through those big windows, and you can actually hear church bells from multiple directions – which sounds touristy but is honestly pretty magical when you’re having your coffee. Speaking of which, there’s a tiny café around the corner on Calle Sierpes that the owner mentioned, and their cortado is better than anything you’ll find near the major attractions.

The modern touches are what make this place special though – someone clearly put thought into the renovation. The shower has ridiculous water pressure (you’ll understand why this matters after walking around Seville’s cobblestones all day), and there’s actually good WiFi throughout both floors. The kitchen’s fully equipped too, which matters because eating out for every meal in this city will drain your wallet fast. I did notice the stairs to the loft are a bit steep, so maybe not ideal if you’re traveling with elderly relatives or heavy suitcases, but for most people it’s fine. The air conditioning works perfectly, which… trust me, if you’re visiting in summer, this isn’t negotiable in Seville. One small thing – parking is basically impossible on this street, but there’s a public garage about a three-minute walk away, and honestly, you won’t need a car anyway since everything worth seeing is walkable from here.
