Honestly, when I first walked into this Moratín apartment, I wasn’t expecting much – I mean, it’s tucked away on a narrow street in Sevilla’s old quarter, and you know how these historic neighborhoods can be hit or miss. But stepping through that door was like finding a spacious secret in the heart of the city. The place is genuinely huge for European standards – 150 square meters actually feels like 150 square meters, not some creative real estate math.

What really struck me was how quiet it stays despite being smack in the middle of everything. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the cathedral (I timed it), but the thick walls of these old buildings do their job. I could hear the occasional late-night reveler on weekends, but nothing that kept me awake – and I’m someone who usually packs earplugs everywhere. The apartment itself has this lived-in elegance that you don’t get in chain hotels. The furniture actually matches, the kitchen has everything you’d need if you want to grab ingredients from the Mercado del Arenal, and there’s enough space that you’re not tripping over your suitcase every five minutes.

Here’s what nobody tells you about staying in this part of Sevilla – parking is basically impossible, but there’s a decent public garage about four blocks away on Calle García de Vinuesa. Worth knowing ahead of time. The building doesn’t have an elevator (typical for the area), but if you’re on a lower floor, it’s not a big deal. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, though I’d recommend confirming arrival times since it’s not a traditional hotel setup. The location really can’t be beat if you want to feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it. You’ll end up walking past the same neighborhood bars and tiny grocery stores, and honestly, that’s half the charm. It’s got that 9.3 rating for good reason – it delivers on space, location, and that authentic Sevilla experience without making you compromise on comfort.

    The apartment was nicely decorated and well situated – within just a few walking minutes from the city center. Everything was clean and in good condition.

    What could be improved: The front door of the house leads almost directly to a street – the pedestrian walk is neglectible. You have to be careful when existing the house. However, it is only a side street.

    Great location, clean and comfortable

    What could be improved: Only two mugs, 1 plate, a couple of random glasses, a frying pan and a pot were the sum total of the kitchen equipment (was plenty of cutlery). The property sleeps 4, luckily we were only 2 so could have a mug each

    The apartment is large and very comfortable and decorated nicely. It is a beautiful space very close to all of the sites and shopping and restaurants. Alejandra was so kind and sweet to help with my Spanish to communicate and she made a point to show me everything that I needed to know to manage access to the apartment.

    Great location and facilities! It had everything we needed. Shampoo, conditioner, space heater, umbrella…. You name it!
    So kind to leave a champagne bottle and some snacks for us too! Highly recommended!!
