Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Seville hotels, and honestly, the Murillo Boutique x Alohamundi caught me completely off guard. You know how Calle Bailén can feel a bit touristy sometimes? Well, this place somehow manages to sit right in the thick of it all while feeling like your own little secret. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Cathedral – I timed it because I’m weird like that – but step inside and it’s this incredibly calm, boutique space that actually lives up to the whole “boutique” thing.
The collaboration between Murillo and Alohamundi is sort of genius, actually. They’ve taken what could’ve been just another converted Sevillian building and turned it into something that feels both local and worldly at the same time. The design hits that sweet spot where it’s Instagram-worthy without trying too hard – you know what I mean? There’s this attention to detail that you notice in waves. First you see the obvious stuff, then you start picking up on the little touches, like how they’ve incorporated traditional Andalusian elements without making it feel like a theme park. The rooms have this perfect balance of modern comfort and authentic character, and honestly, the bathrooms are way nicer than they have any right to be in a building this old.
What really sold me though was the staff’s approach to the whole experience. They get that you’re probably here to explore the Barrio Santa Cruz (which is right outside your door, by the way), but they also understand when you just want to decompress after walking on cobblestones all day. The check-in was smooth – none of that awkward hovering while they figure out their system – and they actually gave useful recommendations, not just the standard tourist traps. Plus, and this might sound minor, but the soundproofing is surprisingly good for this part of town. You’re close enough to feel the energy of the old town, but you can actually sleep without earplugs, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve stayed around here. That 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of place that exceeds expectations without making a big show of it.

modern, small in size, great location, and good AC

The flat was really well situated, in the heart of the city. The 2 balconies were much appreciated and our stay was overall really nice. The apartment is very nicely decorated and very well equipped. We stayed for 4 nights and it was everything one could hope for, especially if you want to do a trip to Sevilla that is a bit longer than a couple days.
You can do everything by foot from the apartment and the city has much to offer whether it is in terms of cultural visits, gastronomy, art, or shows.
You have everything you could need at the apartment for cooking but I’d really recommend eating out as much as possible given the flavorful offer of the restaurants in the area. I’d especially recommend having a Spanish breakfast at the bar/restaurant down below in the corner of the street, where the customers are mainly locals. It has a little terrace on the sun and their tosta de pan con tomate y jamón is the best we found in the city, we ended up having breakfast there almost every day.
Special mention for the very attentionate and accommodating host. He was beyond nice to us and gave us really good restaurant recommendations. He responded quickly and allowed us to check out late (given no one was arriving that same day). My partner got sick on our last night and having to take a plane in the afternoon, he really appreciated getting a few more hours of sleep and rest.
All in all, we were very happy to visit Sevilla from such a lovely flat and with such an attentionate host.
What could be improved: I don’t remember if there was air-con but Sevilla sure does get hot in the summer. Otherwise, sometimes you could sometimes hear people going up and down the stairs of the building but it was not very loud and it wasn’t often or at late or very early hours of the day so it wasn’t really bothering but you could hear it still (of course there’s not really much the host can do about it, and it wasn’t really a bother, it is still worth mentioning in case you’re coming with kids maybe).Sarah from Australia – 28 March 2025 (10/10)
Fantastic location where you can easily walk to bars/restaurants/shops and also over the bridge to Triana. The apartment was beautifully designed, clean, and had everything we needed (iron, hairdryer, fridge, dishes and dishwasher, cooktop although we didn’t use that). The beds were very comfortable and you don’t hear any street noise.
What could be improved: No car parking which we knew, but we were lucky to find a free street park not far away on C. Goles. Otherwise there are paid parking buildings nearby too.Sangeetha from United Kingdom – 9 March 2025 (10/10)
Beautiful apartment with all the amenities we needed. Location was excellent – not overly touristy but walkable to all the tourist sites. Communication from the holiday company was excellent
What could be improved: Apartment was a little smaller than we expected for the price (especially the living area), but I think this is average for Seville.
Note that the third bedroom can only be accessed via steep stairs. This was fine for us, but is not suitable for children or older guests.
We had a small leak in the kitchen, but the holiday company sorted this out promptly.Dmitrijus from Ireland – 7 March 2025 (10/10)

I love the place, decoration was really nice. Very spacious and well laid out. A very pleasant surprise to enjoy such a beautiful and cosy space. I love how the balcony had a view of the street. Host was super responsive too. We also got an early check-in, which we truly appreciate!!
What could be improved: There was no washing machine, which I feel should be a standard offering for all airbnb hosts.Nejwa from Belgium – 9 February 2025 (10/10)
Perfectly central, easily accessible, clean and cost
