Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Murillo Gardens? It’s not actually in the touristy Santa Cruz area like you’d expect from the name – it sits in Nervión, which honestly works out way better. The location on Calle Rastro puts you close enough to everything without dealing with the crowds of cruise ship tourists stumbling around the cathedral square at all hours.
The apartments themselves have this lived-in quality that feels refreshing after staying in cookie-cutter hotel rooms. I mean, you’ve got proper kitchen space (not just a sad mini-fridge), and the layouts actually make sense – like someone designed them for people who might want to spread out their stuff or cook a meal instead of eating overpriced tapas every single night. The 9.1 rating makes sense once you’re there; it’s those little touches that add up. Good water pressure, windows that actually open properly, and – this matters more than you’d think – decent Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every time someone in the next room starts streaming Netflix.
What I really appreciated was being in Nervión instead of right in the historic center. You’re still only about a 15-minute walk to the big sights, but you get to see how Seville actually works when it’s not performing for tourists. There’s a great morning market nearby where locals do their shopping, and the metro connection is genuinely useful if you want to explore further out (or if it’s one of those brutal July afternoons when even Sevillanos hide indoors). The staff – well, they’re not going to wow you with theatrical hospitality, but they know their stuff and actually answer questions instead of just handing you a brochure. I had an issue with the air conditioning remote and someone came up within ten minutes, fixed it without making a big production out of it.
The neighborhood gets pleasantly quiet in the evenings, which is golden if you’re trying to recover from walking around this city all day in the heat. You’ll hear normal street sounds – people coming home from work, the occasional motorbike – but nothing like the party noise you’d get closer to the Alfalfa area. Parking can be tricky on weekends (street parking is always a gamble in Seville), but there’s a public garage about two blocks away that won’t completely wreck your budget. Honestly, if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights and want somewhere that feels less like a hotel and more like you’re actually living in Seville for a bit, this place gets it right.

It was challenging to find a nice interior for an accommodation in Seville but this loft truly surprised us. It is neat, spacious and has good sunlight in without losing out on your privacy. The location is good with walking distance to some attractions and even cafes for breakfast.

The apartment design is excellent.
What could be improved: Shower needs some improvement.Stanislav from Australia – 25 May 2025 (9/10)
The location is extremely convinient, though parking in the area is extremely difficult. Walking distance from the train station, if you don't mind a walk, and most attraction like Alcazar and Giralda are just a short walk away. The appartment is quite lovely, frhesh and convinient.
What could be improved: Some small plumbing issues in the kitchen cuased sewes smell to sometimes appear around the sink.Zara from United Kingdom – 22 May 2025 (10/10)
Brilliant location, super close to Alcázar palace, the cathedral and short walk to the plaza. Everything was within walking distance, ideal location. There is also a lovely breakfast place (Billy’s brunch) literally on the doorstep, with other brunch places only a short walk. The apartment exceeded our expectations, large spacious beds, all the amenities you could need. We also requested a cot which was provided. Lots of towels and spare pillows. Even a ice cold water waiting for us in the fridge on arrival. Would definitely reccomend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Seville!!
What could be improved: The only thing I’d suggest to improve is that the staircase could be dangerous for anyone with young kids. So please be aware when booking.Timea from Serbia – 18 April 2025 (10/10)
Appartment was modern and clean. Location is fantastic.

It was very clean and spacious. We really liked the ability to make the room very dark with the shades/curtains on all the windows. That shows a great attention the detail.
The staff was very helpful and quick to respond whenever we had a question.
The location was amazing, perfect to wander around in the Santa Cruz District but also to go to the cathedral and Alcazar. Also, to go to Triana, it was only a 30-minute walk (a nice one near the river).
What could be improved: Only con was that the apartment was directly on the road so, if we were sitting in the living room, we could hear people walking on the street etc. It didn’t bother us much though.Mari from South Africa – 24 February 2025 (8/10)
Great location and beautiful space.
What could be improved: The bottom bathroom had a musty smell and there was a loose skirting on the kitchen.Bing from Ireland – 22 February 2025 (10/10)
The location is excellent. You could walk to all the main attractions in the city.
Long from United Kingdom – 22 December 2024 (8/10)
Facility is good
What could be improved: The staff was not able to help with the luggage even if they can obviously do something.
