Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Mush Room Apartamentos? The name makes it sound quirky – maybe even a little questionable – but this place is actually a gem tucked away on Calle Imagen, right in the heart of Seville’s old town. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Cathedral, and honestly, finding a proper apartment-style setup in this area that doesn’t cost a fortune is pretty rare. The building itself has that classic Andalusian feel with white walls and traditional tiles, but inside it’s been updated really thoughtfully. The apartments are spacious – I’m talking actual living areas, not just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner. Each one has a proper kitchenette where you can actually cook (the local market on Calle Feria is about a 10-minute walk if you want to grab fresh ingredients), and the bedrooms are surprisingly quiet considering you’re in the middle of everything.
What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to get that travelers want independence but also need local insight. They’re not hovering, but when you ask about things like where to park (spoiler: forget driving in the old town, just don’t), they actually know what they’re talking about. The check-in was smooth, and they gave me these detailed directions that included landmarks like “turn left at the orange tree courtyard” – you know, the kind of directions that actually help when you’re wandering around narrow medieval streets with your luggage. The location really is something special though. You’re close enough to hear the evening guitar players in Plaza de Armas, but the street itself isn’t one of those tourist thoroughfares where you’ve got groups walking by at all hours. I found myself using the apartment as a real base – coming back in the afternoon to rest during siesta time, then heading out for tapas in the evening. There’s this little bakery just around the corner on Calle Imagen that opens early, and honestly, starting your day with fresh pastries before the crowds hit the major sights is perfect.
The whole setup just works if you want to feel less like a tourist and more like you’re actually staying in Seville for a while. Sure, it’s not luxury – the bathroom fixtures are basic, and the WiFi can be spotty in the evenings when everyone’s online – but the 8.7 rating makes sense. It’s one of those places where the location and the thoughtful touches (like actual wine glasses, not plastic cups) add up to something that feels authentically Sevillian. Plus, at four stars, your expectations are probably realistic anyway. If you’re the type who wants to explore the Alcázar in the morning, nap in your own space during the heat of the day, then wander the Triana neighborhood for dinner, this kind of setup beats a standard hotel room hands down.

The location is epic, it’s close to lots of attractions and shops. The owner responds your questions very quickly.
What could be improved: The hardwares have a lot to improve, we had problems with the AC, it stopped working from times to times. Also the hair dryer had some issues but luckily the owner got us a new one immediately.Richard from United Kingdom – 5 May 2025 (9/10)
Lcation excellent, in close walking proximity to tourist locations, good eateries and the train station (20 minutes). Apartment interior very well appointed, you would never know from looking at the outside of the building! Apartment was large, clean and fitted with all you need for a short stay. Communication with the owner was excellent and responded quickly to our queries. We were in Seville at the time of the national power cut though the effect on our stay was minimal.
What could be improved: A kettle would have been a handy addition in the kitchen, though boiling a pan of water on the hob wasn't a problem.Daniel from Ireland – 23 April 2025 (9/10)
