You know what struck me first about Ninesuites Cathedral? The name isn’t just some marketing gimmick – you literally can’t escape the fact that you’re sleeping in the shadow of one of Spain’s most incredible cathedrals. I mean, Calle Huelva sits right in the thick of Seville’s old town, and honestly, the location is almost ridiculous in how perfect it is. You step out the front door and you’re already deep in those narrow, cobblestone streets that make Seville feel like you’ve wandered into some romantic movie set.

The hotel itself feels more like a collection of really well-designed apartments than your typical tourist trap – which makes sense given the “suites” part of the name, I suppose. What I loved is that they’ve managed to keep that old Andalusian charm (you know, the whitewashed walls, the wrought iron details) without making it feel like a museum. The rooms actually have character, and there’s enough space that you’re not tripping over your suitcase every time you want to grab something from the bathroom. The 4-star rating feels about right – it’s polished and comfortable without being stuffy or pretentious.

Here’s the thing about staying in Seville’s old town though – and this applies to Ninesuites too – you’re going to hear the city. The cathedral bells (which are gorgeous, don’t get me wrong), the occasional late-night revelry from the tapas crowd, the early morning delivery trucks navigating those impossibly narrow streets. But honestly? That’s part of the charm. You’re not here to hide away in some sterile business hotel; you’re here to be in Seville. And from this spot, everything is walkable. The cathedral is literally a two-minute stroll, the Alcázar is maybe five minutes if you walk slowly, and you’re surrounded by some of the best tapas bars in the city – the kind where locals actually eat, not just the tourist traps. I found myself wandering down to Plaza de la Virgen de los Reyes for my morning coffee, which became this lovely little routine. The staff seems to get that they’re not just running a hotel, they’re kind of the gatekeepers to this incredible neighborhood, so they’re genuinely helpful with recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist checklist. The 8.8 rating makes total sense to me – it’s the kind of place that does what it promises really well, without any major surprises (good or bad). If you want to feel like you’re actually staying in Seville rather than just visiting it, this is your spot.

  Location fantastic! Clean and comfortable.

  Place was very clean. Nice friendly staff. The plunge pool and roof terrace were great.
  
  What could be improved: The sofa bed was really uncomfortable. The room although very clean was a little on the small side. We were in apartment 2 there was no view from the window just looking on to a brick wall.

  Excellent location, right in the centre and short walking distance to main attractions. Comfortable, nicely decorated apartment with great views. Extra bonus is the little pool on the roof terrace with more gorgeous views.

  The location is perfect – in close proximity to the major attractions, a lot of great tapas bars, restaurants. The view was excellent. The main bedroom was very quiet.

  Overall good experience. We stayed three nights. There is a very nice terrace on the roof although the weather was a little in different and we did not make use of it in the end.
  We had some difficulty when we arrived as the code we had been sent was for our apartment door and did not access the main door at street level so we were shut out for a while. Fortunately we were able to contact The office who provided an alternative code to use for the front door.
  Anyone thinking of booking this apartment should be aware of the steep metal spiral staircase leading down to the bedroom and bathroom. This may not be suitable for young children or elderly people or those with disabilities.
