Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of boutique hotels in Seville, and O&L Alameda de Hércules actually gets it right. The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone put real thought into the design – it’s got that sleek, contemporary vibe without feeling cold or trying too hard to be Instagram-worthy. The lobby has this warm lighting that makes you want to linger, and honestly, after wandering around Seville’s blazing streets in summer, that air conditioning hits different.
What really sold me on this place, though, is the location. I mean, everyone talks about staying in the old town, but being right on Alameda de Hércules? That’s the sweet spot. You’re literally on one of the city’s most vibrant strips – those ancient Roman columns are right there, and come evening, the whole street transforms into this buzzing social scene. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: the hotel’s positioned just far enough from the main bar cluster that you won’t have drunk tourists singing flamenco under your window at 3 AM. Trust me, I learned that lesson the hard way at another place near Calle Betis.
The rooms themselves are surprisingly spacious for a European city hotel – I had the corner room on the third floor and could actually open my suitcase without performing gymnastics. The bathroom’s modern with a rainfall shower that has proper water pressure (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in historic buildings). What I really appreciated were the little touches: blackout curtains that actually block light, a mini-fridge that’s not just decorative, and – this might sound weird – but the bed was the perfect height. Not too high, not too low. Sometimes it’s the simple things.
The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood, which makes a difference when you’re trying to find that perfect tapas spot that isn’t overrun with tour groups. They pointed me toward a tiny place on Calle Jesús del Gran Poder that I never would’ve found otherwise. And when I needed to figure out the best route to the cathedral without melting in the midday sun, the front desk guy mapped out this clever path through the narrow streets that kept me in shade most of the way.
Honestly, the 8.2 rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be a luxury palace, but it nails what it sets out to do. The breakfast is solid (proper coffee, not that watery hotel stuff), WiFi actually works throughout the building, and I never had to wait more than a minute for the elevator. Sure, you might hear some street noise if you’re a super light sleeper, but that’s the trade-off for being in the heart of things. Plus, those sounds – the distant guitar music, people chatting on terraces, the occasional horse-drawn carriage – they’re part of what makes Seville magical. This place gets that balance right.

The flat is on ground floor, and it's in the CENTER the city, soround with coffee shop, shops restaurant, pizzeria, ice-cream shop, kid's playground and many bus stops. On 10min walk to the mushroom, city cathedral and Alcazar, and Macarena.
Shopping centre is on 10 min by walk on the other side of river.

excelente localização. apartamentos espaçosos e bem equipados, com camas confortáveis. boa relação qualidade/preço.
What could be improved: deveria ter melhor insonorização dos quartos virados para a praça e junto da porta da entrada no prédio. o chão do nosso apartamento tinha vidros partidos. cheiro a esgoto intenso em ambos espaços.
