Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about One Shot Conde Torrejón? It’s tucked away on this narrow street in Seville’s old town where most tourists never think to look – which is honestly perfect because you get all the charm without the chaos. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Cathedral, but the street itself feels like a little secret. The building has this gorgeous traditional Andalusian facade that somehow manages to look both historic and fresh at the same time.

The thing about staying in Seville’s centro histórico is that most hotels either go full tourist-trap kitsch or try so hard to be modern they lose all character. This place actually nails the balance. The rooms have these beautiful high ceilings (you’ll appreciate them in summer, trust me) and the design feels authentically Sevillian without being over the top about it. I loved the little details – like how they’ve kept some of the original tilework but paired it with really comfortable, contemporary furniture. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious too, which you don’t always get in these converted old buildings.

What really won me over was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood. When I asked about dinner recommendations, they didn’t just hand me a tourist map – they told me which tapas bars the locals actually go to (there’s this tiny place around the corner on Calle Álvarez Quintero that I never would’ve found otherwise). The location is honestly ideal if you want to explore on foot – you can wander to the Alcázar in the morning, get lost in the Santa Cruz maze of streets, then come back and actually relax instead of fighting crowds. And here’s something practical: unlike a lot of old town hotels, they can actually help you figure out parking. The nearest garage is just a couple blocks away, and they’ll give you proper directions, not just wave vaguely toward the general area.

The 8.7 rating makes total sense to me. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Seville, but everything works exactly as it should. The air conditioning is properly cold (crucial in summer), the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the beds are genuinely comfortable. I also appreciated that the windows have good shutters – those church bells start early, and while they’re charming, you might not want to hear every single one at 6 AM. The breakfast was solid too, though honestly, with all the incredible cafés within walking distance, you might want to explore instead of eating in every morning.

Reviews

  • Gillian from New Zealand – 1 June 2025 (8/10)

    Comfortable bed

What could be improved: No Internet when inside the room.

  • Anies from Australia – 18 May 2025 (9/10)

    Lovely pool.
Big breakfast. Too much food actually!

What could be improved: Our room was a bit small for 2 big suitcases

  • Eva from Jersey – 15 May 2025 (9/10)

The hotel is a lovely space with well appointed rooms. Beds were comfortable and the shower really nice.
We opted to have breakfast one morning, which was very good and plentiful.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
We came by car and used the hotel car park, which was "interesting". The space to get in and out of the car lift is limited, so make sure you have a smallish car (we had a Renault Clio), and you're comfortable with tight turns.

What could be improved: I found it odd that our room didn't have a single coat hook to hang our jackets. I would have been nice to have a luggage rack (1st world problems).

  • Thomas from United Kingdom – 6 May 2025 (9/10)

Great location (10 min walk into the centre), friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and just what we needed for a city break.

  • Sophia from Cayman Islands – 29 April 2025 (9/10)

Beautiful big rooms and comfy beds. Really nice touches like a rubber duck gift for our daughter in her crib when we checked in and thoughtful notes from staff. Within the old town and close to all the sites.

What could be improved: The windows have no insulation or soundproofing that the noise of people outside and cars going past felt like you had the windows wide open it was so loud, which made it difficult to get the baby to sleep and to stay asleep myself as it’s noisy all night in Spain. I suspect rooms towards the back of the property are quieter.
The tv has a function to mirror share your device but we were told it only works if you have an android phone. Given the smart tvs had no other apps available other than national Spanish television it was a bit disappointing we couldn’t use the tv. Small disadvantage but given the price of the room, this is small feature that makes a big difference even just to play music.

  • Mauro from Germany – 25 April 2025 (9/10)

This is the perfect solution for visiting Siviglia. The hotel is closely located to the main attractions of the city with the advantage of not being overwhelmed by the tourists. Highly recommended solution for an incredible city.

  • Shirley from United Arab Emirates – 23 April 2025 (9/10)

The Room was spacious and great. Very comfortable bed. We had the chance twice to see the processions of the Holy Week passing by our street I was really happy! The breakfast is great and the team so helpful!

What could be improved: The noice! People talking loudly in the street at 4 am or in the morning.

  • Egle from Lithuania – 13 April 2025 (9/10)

What an mazing stay! Room 203 exceeded expectations—spacious, beautifully designed, and spotless. Beautiful space, historic building. The staff were lovely and super helpful. Perfect location, with all major attractions within walking distance.
The only improvement would be the breakfast – the limited menu gets repetitive during longer stays.
We’d absolutely come back! Looooved it!

  • Giovanni from Italy – 4 April 2025 (9/10)

Very beautiful hotel full of light, our room was great, spacious and elegant
Only issue was the parking space, too small for our car, we had to park elsewhere

  • Pat from United Kingdom – 2 April 2025 (9/10)

Absolutely lovely hotel, very clean and comfortable, the staff were very pleasant and helpful and the location was perfect.
