Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Ópera Apartments” on Calle Feria, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name sounds fancy, but this stretch of the old town can be pretty hit-or-miss with accommodations. Turns out, this place actually gets it right in ways that surprised me. The building itself has that weathered Sevillian charm you can’t fake – thick walls that keep things cool even when it’s blazing outside, and these gorgeous tile details around the entrance that most people probably walk right past without noticing.
What really won me over, though, is how they’ve managed to feel like proper apartments rather than hotel rooms pretending to be something they’re not. The kitchenettes are actually functional (I mean, you can cook real food in them), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. You know what’s rare? Having decent water pressure and hot water that doesn’t take forever to kick in – honestly, half the places I’ve stayed in Sevilla fail this basic test. The 4-star rating isn’t just marketing fluff here. Plus, and this matters more than you’d think, the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the apartments, not just in the lobby like some places I could mention.
The location is where things get interesting. Calle Feria isn’t touristy in that sanitized way – you’re right in the middle of where actual sevillanos live and work. Thursday mornings there’s this incredible market literally outside your door (fair warning: it gets loud around 8 AM, but the energy is worth losing a little sleep). You can walk to the cathedral and all that in about fifteen minutes, but you’re also a two-minute stroll from some of the best tapas bars that guidebooks somehow miss. There’s this tiny place called Bar Tremendo just around the corner – locals pack in there every evening, and they do these montaditos that are absolutely ridiculous. The neighborhood has that authentic buzz during the day but settles down nicely at night, which is honestly the sweet spot you want in Sevilla. Parking can be tricky (this is old town Spain, after all), but there’s a public garage about three blocks away that won’t completely destroy your budget. The 8.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s not perfect, but it nails the things that actually matter when you’re trying to experience a city rather than just pass through it.

Great apartment close to great restaurants (breakfast downstairs) & Quilombo next door. Also great lockers around the corner for left luggage.Nice sun terrace upstairs. Great bars & restaurants 5 mins walk, special mention 1987 80s bar. Sightseeing tour ok….but walk everywhere much more to see.
What could be improved: Noisy cafe across the road but didn’t bother us.Richard from Netherlands – 9 May 2025 (8/10)
Nice apartment with sundeck and pool on the rooftop
What could be improved: The little square in front of the complex is busy in the eveningFilip from Serbia – 2 May 2025 (9/10)
Great apartment on great location
What could be improved: Since it is in the central place with a lot of bars, you can hear some noise inside the apartment, apart from that everything is great.Alex from Germany – 27 April 2025 (9/10)
Location
What could be improved: Loud at night, and the arrangement of the bedRobin from United Kingdom – 26 April 2025 (8/10)
The apartment was easy to access with a given code, and it was a relief too to see a lift, so we didn’t have to struggle up the stairs with luggage. We were delighted to see that the rooms were extremely bright, spotlessly clean and modern, with a lovely view of the church opposite. Plenty of clean white towels were supplied and the bed was very comfortable with nice linen. The shower room was spacious with clean & modern appliances, plus a supply of shampoo and shower gel. Much appreciated!
The location was good with plenty of places to eat close by, various shops & the Feria Market too. A few reviews we’ve read had mentioned noise outside at night, and yes we did hear people outside until the late hours/early morning but it didn’t disturb us – it was generally just a background hum of people outside the cafes & bars close by.
Seville is a beautiful city!
What could be improved: There were only a few slight negatives. We did find the kitchen facilities a bit difficult, as the sink is tiny making it hard to easily wash up. Also if you’re small a lot of the crockery & kitchen equipment are in cupboards which are very high up & hard to access. As it happens, my husband is tall so he managed – but I couldn’t reach, so maybe a small foldable set of steps would be helpful! However, if you’re not planning on eating in the apartment these negative points won’t apply.
Also, being of a slightly older generation, we did find it a bit of a drag walking to the main sights in Seville & back. We were exhausted at the end of every day, but for anyone younger (or more able) it’s a perfect location.Charlotte from United Kingdom – 20 April 2025 (9/10)
Great location, easy check in process and really great facilities. We loved the addition of the rooftop space, we’d of loved to use this more if the weather had been slightly warmer
What could be improved: There was nothing we didn’t like! The only thing I’d change is the bed which was a small double so a little bit snugEccles from United Kingdom – 6 April 2025 (9/10)
It was a lovely apartment in a great location. But it was very noisy as right opposite a bar which was lively until the small hours.
Eamonn from Ireland – 4 April 2025 (9/10)
Great apartment in a very central location. Lots of street cafes & restaurants. There is noise from the street but the windows are very good & muffle the sound well. The bed & pillows are very comfortable & a good-sized bathroom with a walk-in shower. A good selection of toiletries was supplied & also a good hairdryer .The apartment, while compact, is well laid out to maximise space. I would certainly stay here again if visiting Seville .
What could be improved: Nothing, all good .Morris from United Kingdom – 5 February 2025 (8/10)
The location, the view of the church directly outside, the light from all the windows. The shower, the roof terrace.
The response from the staff. They were amazing.
The building is very clean and it felt safe.
What could be improved: The noise from the bars on street late at night especially on Friday night was well into the early hours.
The lack of kitchen crockery. Need to provide more mugs plates bowls.
Microwave unnecessary takes up too much space in a compact kitchen.Kerin from United States – 20 January 2025 (9/10)
Location was wonderful. So many shops and restaurants around. Liked that there was a fridge and stove to make some meals and a coffee maker. Bed was comfortable. Towels were nice and fluffy. Room was clean. Liked the rooftop terrace and pool.
What could be improved: There was some noise from people dining outside that went till quite late but that is because you are in a perfect location in the center of everything. It did not impede sleep. Kitchen could be organized a bit better the microwave took up almost all of the usable counter space but it was great for just a few days.
