You know what caught me off guard about Overland Suites Catedral? I expected another generic hotel trying to capitalize on its prime location, but this place actually gets it right. Walking up to the entrance on Calle Argote de Molina, you’re literally in the heart of Seville’s old town maze – I mean, you can practically touch the Cathedral’s walls from here, and the narrow cobblestone streets feel like they haven’t changed in centuries. The building itself has that perfect balance of historic charm without feeling like you’re sleeping in a museum.

The suites are honestly more spacious than I anticipated, which is saying something for this part of the city where every square meter costs a fortune. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to blend modern amenities with the original architecture – you’ll find high ceilings and traditional tile work, but also proper air conditioning (trust me, you’ll need it in summer) and surprisingly good Wi-Fi. The staff actually knows the neighborhood, too, which makes a difference when you’re trying to figure out where to grab authentic tapas without getting stuck in tourist traps. They pointed me toward a tiny bar on Calle Mateos Gago that I never would’ve found otherwise.

Here’s the thing about staying this close to the Cathedral – yes, you’ll hear some street noise, especially during Semana Santa or when the tour groups descend in the morning, but honestly? It’s part of the experience. The location means you can stumble back from dinner in Santa Cruz without worrying about taxis or metro schedules, and those early morning walks through the empty streets before the city wakes up are pretty magical. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you factor in that you’re getting genuine local flavor without sacrificing comfort – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers exactly what you want when you’re exploring Seville properly.

  Loved the view from the balcony at night. Lots of room and a washer. The gift basket was nice (milk, orange juice, crackers). We arrived early and they held our luggage for us. Since they left before we came back, they put it in our room which was very nice.
  
  What could be improved: Bathroom was a little awkward, but works for a couple. Could hear things outside the room during the day, but night was quiet.

  Very good and easy check in, we were lucky that the room was ready on arrival. The apartment was well equipped, spacious, comfortable and with great amenities. It was extremely well located, quiet and had a great roof top. Teresa was incredibly helpful with great recommendations!
  
  What could be improved: Everything was super, it would have been helpful to have a chopping board and drying rack.

  Excellent location, responsive and accommodating service 👌🏻. Grateful for help with taxis and recommendations for flamenco show! Great for a couple with no mobility issues. This apartment is on three different levels so lots of stairs. Very quiet as it's facing inside court but definitely need to use black out curtains that are present on all windows. Great views from the private terrace but we did not get to enjoy it as it was raining most of the time we visited. Would definitely recommend this. 👌🏻

  The location was central, the apartment was the perfect size for our family of five, Elena at the reception was very helpful and friendly (apologies if I got your name wrong!), plenty of bars around and we were at walking distance to all major areas of the city. Seville is gorgeous and I definitely recommend the Suite for a stay in the city.

  Great location in the center of all the attraction yet it was quiet. The apartment looks even better than the picture, love the terrace with view facing the Cathedral. Facilities are complete, the beds are comfy. Great stay for families and couple.
  
  What could be improved: Overall area spacious however due to unit being duplex the layout is bit challenging eg kitchen area bit cramped. but minor issue, overall stay was great, would certainly recommend this to friends and family
