Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Palacete del Porvenir on Calle Porvenir, I wasn’t expecting much from the narrow street. But then you step inside and it’s like, whoa, okay, this is actually something special. The building has this gorgeous traditional Sevillian architecture that feels authentic rather than touristy – you know how some places try too hard? This isn’t that. The courtyard is the real showstopper here, with those classic white walls and terracotta tiles that stay cool even when it’s blazing outside (and trust me, Seville gets HOT in summer).

What I really loved about staying here is how it strikes this perfect balance between feeling historic and actually being comfortable. The rooms have character – exposed beams, traditional tilework – but they’ve clearly invested in proper AC and modern bathrooms, which honestly matters more than you think when you’re exploring the city all day. The Sur neighborhood is brilliant for this, by the way. You’re close enough to walk to the Cathedral and Alcázar without being right in the thick of all the tour groups, and there’s this great little tapas place called Bar Las Teresas just a few streets over that locals actually go to. The hotel staff pointed me there, which tells you something about how they know the area.

One thing that really stood out was how quiet it gets at night – I mean, you’re still in a city center, so there’s some street noise, but nothing like what you’d get near the main tourist drags. Check-in was smooth (they speak excellent English if your Spanish is rusty like mine), and they actually have a small parking arrangement nearby, which is practically a miracle in this part of town. The 8.3 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be a luxury palace, but it absolutely nails what it is: a beautifully restored traditional building that gives you a real taste of Seville without sacrificing comfort. I’d definitely stay here again, especially in spring when you can really enjoy that courtyard without melting.

  • Allison from Germany – 20 April 2025 (8/10)

Great location! Was only a couple of blocks from the Plaza. Great bakery around the corner. Very walkable to everything you need to see in Seville

What could be improved: Difficult to get into the gate. Was greeted by the owner thankfully.

  • Keith from United Kingdom – 31 October 2023 (8/10)

The space / rooms offered within the Palacete accommodated a large family gathering. It was spacious and well situated. We walked into the city every day and sometimes twice per day. It also accommodated a wheelchair and had a ground floor bedroom which was ideal. Our granddaughters had great fun in the swimming pool and playing roll a lemon on the grass and driveway.
Elena, our contact was always very helpful and available.
The city offers many attractions. Restaurants are nearby and excellent.

What could be improved: Several small things. Nothing important.
No tea towels in the kitchen. No plug for the kitchen sink.
Certain electrical works had not been finished satisfactorily with loose cables or unfinished plastering.
Occasional toilet cysterns/ soap shower pumps were a bit reluctant/ wobbly.
    TV remote with no batteries.

  • Jo from United Kingdom – 21 October 2024 (8/10)

Great location close to the main sights and river. Spacious house. Good kitchen facilities.
Lovely cool stone floors and air conditioning.
    Interesting decor, lots of character.
    Plenty of bathrooms.
All the beds had memory foam pillows and mattresses.

Great little bar down the road and some fabulous restaurants in walking distance.
It was a good base for our week in Seville.

What could be improved: Pool was smaller than we expected from the photos, it’s basically a plunge pool.
Only 1 lounger in the garden.
Garden furniture was rather tired and not enough chairs for more than 6 at the outside table. If you’re a large group you’ll be eating indoors.
A courtyard behind the house was a bit noisy at night with people chatting until the small hours.

  • Leslie from Canada – 7 January 2024 (8/10)

A great large space for a big family. We were 13 and there was lots of room. We were close to restaurants cafes and groceries. Kitchen was well equipped. I had a very comfy bed but a couple people said there’s was not. Noise from the street was loud for those with street side beds but with a fan and closed windows we were fine. Some of the chairs were coming apart but that didn’t affect our stay. Loved the lemon and mandarin trees. Hostess was very attentive and kind. Overall would stay again if we had a huge group.

  • Daniel from Brazil – 6 January 2024 (8/10)

Location is exceptional and very comfortable, able to host my whole family and we were 13 in total.

What could be improved: Internet was not working and working was not possible. This made the kids upset, but it’s likely a very easy fix.

  • Jamie from United Kingdom – 17 March 2025 (9/10)

Excellent space, cleanliness and host very helpful with whatsapp messages

    What could be improved: n/a

  • Glen from United Kingdom – 13 March 2024 (9/10)

The property was amazing, a true gem in the heart of Seville!

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Fawzi from Israel – 7 March 2023 (9/10)

it has a great location, 5-10 minutes maximum from every place in the city. 5 min walking from the park
its has everything and it great for kids and families

  • Maja from Slovenia – 7 November 2022 (9/10)

The house is perfect for a large group. The host was very accommodating and kind and helpful with all the information. They even brought extra bed and extra linen for our large group. It was very clean. The location is very good (near the park and town center).

What could be improved: Everything was top notch!

  • M from Portugal – 6 September 2024 (1/10)

Great location, easy to get around with the bus that is not far away from the place.

What could be improved: On arrival everything dirty, dusty and there was still trash in the house from the previous hosts. Bed with hairs and sheets USED, toilets dirty, dirt and dust everywhere. Broken tv on the first floor and appliences that don't work. Outlets that are broken and without any protection, good for children……We even had geckos in the wardrobes!! It's an old house but there have been some renovations done but poorly, main focus was on the ground floor but still looks like an abandoned and fixed up in a hurry place. The pictures in the add make it look nice but you will be in for a unpleasant experience. The airconditioner on the top floor is ducted so you will have rooms thar are freezing cold and others that are an oven. There is a room that has NO airconditioning at all!!! Lots of furniture is broken, the beds are too short and they made them look nice for the pics but the backboard is loose (all the beds are like that) and will make noises all night while turning. After getting the airconditioner to work on the top floor it flooded the bathroom (no exit for the condensation water) so that was not usabel during all our stay. The lock on the front door sometimes doesn't work, after several hours we found out that you have to pull the door before opening the lock to get in!!! Asked for a full refund but still waitng for an answer as for the bedshhets that were dirty i got an stupid answer that they were dry cleaned. Cleaning lady came by but didn't make much difference. Since we had a child with respiration problems due to dust it was not a very good experience.
