Palacio Bucarelli Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Palacio Bucarelli? Walking up to this place on Calle Dalia, I was expecting just another converted palace trying too hard to be fancy – but honestly, they’ve nailed that sweet spot between authentic Sevillian charm and actually comfortable modern living. The building itself is this gorgeous 18th-century mansion that somehow doesn’t feel like a museum you’re tiptoeing through, if that makes sense.
The location is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re right in the heart of the old town, maybe a five-minute walk from the Cathedral (you can hear the bells in the morning, which is either charming or annoying depending on how late you stayed out in Triana the night before). But here’s the thing – Calle Dalia is just tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups that plague some of the more obvious streets. I mean, you’re still going to hear people chatting as they wander back from dinner around midnight, but it’s more neighborhood buzz than tourist chaos. The staff clearly knows their stuff too; when I mentioned wanting to find decent breakfast that wasn’t just hotel coffee, they pointed me toward this tiny place around the corner that locals actually use – not the obvious tourist traps on the main drags.
What really won me over, though, were all those little details that show someone’s actually thinking about what travelers need. The rooms have these thick shutters that block out the Andalusian sun completely (trust me, you’ll want that for afternoon siestas), and the air conditioning actually works properly – which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many historic hotels struggle with that balance between preservation and comfort. The courtyard is where you’ll probably end up spending your evenings; it’s got that classic Moorish influence with the fountains and orange trees, but they’ve added proper lighting and comfortable seating so it’s not just pretty to look at. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this part of Seville – the hotel doesn’t have its own garage, but they’ll point you toward a public one about two blocks away that’s reasonable by Spanish city standards. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that overly formal ceremony some places put you through. With a 9.2 rating, I was curious if it would live up to the hype, and honestly? It does. It’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town, but everything just works the way it should, and you get that genuine sense of Sevillian elegance without feeling like you’re paying for a bunch of stuff you’ll never use.

Perfect place to stay in Sevilla. Outside the busy tourist area but close enough you can get to them easily. Where the hotel is located there are loads of great restaurants (do book the ones you went!) and bars. It’s a great area just to mooch about. The hotel is great. Superb rooms (we had one of the small pools which we loved) and the breakfast is nicely done. The staff are fabulous

Lovely hotel part of original Palacio Bucarelli but sympathetically modernised with comfortable air conditioned rooms in original surroundings. Beautiful courtyard and plunge pool.

Beautiful property just outside the busy centre. Only a 20/25 minute leisurely stroll to the main attractions. Near to lots of bars and restaurants.
Great facilities, huge room with mezzanine and terrace, comfortable bed. Pre ordered breakfast hamper delivered to the room each morning is a nice option.
Friendly, attentive staff always on hand.

The peace away from the busy city and the feeling of relaxation throughout . The honesty bar where we had a drink before going out to dinner and the breakfast delivered to your room all made it special

Great rooms with high ceilings
What could be improved: Noisy road works happening outside our room, but this is not the fault of the hotel
