You know what hits you first when you walk into this place? The fact that you’re actually standing in a 17th-century palace – and I mean, you can feel it in the thick stone walls and the way the light filters through those original windows. The Palacio del siglo XVII isn’t trying to be something it’s not, which honestly makes it even more impressive when you realize you’re sleeping where Spanish nobility once lived.

The location is almost unfair to other hotels. I mean, you’re literally across from the Jardines de Murillo, so you wake up to this gorgeous green space that most tourists have to trek across the city to see. And here’s the thing about Calle Cano y Cueto – it’s tucked into the heart of the old town, but it’s not one of those streets where you’re dodging tour groups every five minutes. You get the authentic Seville experience without feeling like you’re living in a postcard. The cathedral’s about a seven-minute walk (I timed it), and the Alcázar is even closer. But honestly, sometimes I’d just sit on the little street outside with a coffee and watch the locals go about their morning routines.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve managed to preserve the palace character without making you feel like you’re roughing it. The rooms have this perfect balance – original architectural details that remind you where you are, but modern comfort that actually lets you sleep well. The staff seems to genuinely know Seville, not just the tourist version. They’ll tell you which tapas bars the locals actually go to (there’s this tiny place around the corner that doesn’t even have a proper sign), and they’re honest about timing – like how the Alcázar gets absolutely packed after 11 AM, so go early or wait until late afternoon. The 8.9 rating makes sense when you stay here; it’s not trying to be a flashy five-star resort, but it delivers exactly what it promises with some genuinely pleasant surprises along the way. Plus, and this matters more than you’d think, the neighborhood gets wonderfully quiet at night, so you’re not dealing with the party noise from some of the more touristy areas.

  Spotless room, comfy bed, quiet at night, fantastic central location, great aircon to cope with the 38 degrees temps. Having a washing machine was a bonus and the shower was brilliant, great pressure. Very attentive and helpful host.
  
  What could be improved: We had trouble accessing the property when we arrived. The YouTube description provided was tricky to follow, perhaps a younger person may have solved it with greater ease. However, the host sorted it very quickly for us, inspite of us arriving at 10.30pm.

  Nice and clean apartment with small swimming pool. The building has a patio and a rooftop terrace to share. Great location with everything you need around you (restaurants, Cafe for breakfast, small supermarket). It was quiet despite being in the middle of the busy area and the beginning of the old town. There are lots of restaurants nearby and it is only 10 minutes walk away from the Alcazar, the cathedral and the Plaza de Espana. The reception organised a taxi for us to the airport. Very friendly staff and helpful.

  We arrived in the middle of the country wide power outage so staff were waiting to show us the alternative method to get into the apartment. They were brilliant; Daniel and his colleague carried our suitcases up two flights and settled us in. Julia was so helpful and supportive when I had an slight accident The apartment is wonderful and in a superb location. Highly recommend
  
  What could be improved: They may have been there, instructions for aircon. We're dont have it so took some working out to get right fan settings

  Outstanding was its location, near the Jardines de Murillo, just a short walk to the main attractions of the historic center of Cordoba. Relative close to Cordoba Central in case you are taking the train and also just there in the corner good café and restaurant. It was perfect.
