Palacio Mármoles Overview

You know, I’ve walked past Palacio Mármoles probably a dozen times before I actually stayed there – it sits on this narrow cobblestone street in the heart of Seville’s old quarter, and honestly, from the outside it looks like just another beautiful but understated Andalusian building. But step inside and you realize why this place has a 9.4 rating. The lobby hits you with this gorgeous blend of original marble (hence the name, I guess) and restored architectural details that feel authentically Sevillian, not like some designer’s idea of what Spanish should look like.

What really sold me on this place was how the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood – and I mean beyond the typical tourist spots. When I mentioned wanting to find good tapas that weren’t crawling with tour groups, the front desk guy (Miguel, I think?) sent me to this tiny bar on Calle Rodrigo Caro that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms themselves are beautifully done, with these high ceilings that keep things cool even in July heat, though fair warning – if you’re on the street side, you’ll hear the occasional late-night reveler stumbling over the cobblestones. I actually didn’t mind it; it felt like part of the whole experience. The marble bathrooms are genuinely luxurious without being pretentious, and they’ve got this rainfall shower situation that’s perfect after spending hours wandering around the cathedral district.

Location-wise, you’re maybe a three-minute walk from the cathedral – close enough that you can pop back to freshen up between sightseeing, but far enough down a side street that you’re not dealing with constant crowds right outside your door. The Alcázar is practically around the corner, and you can easily walk to the river or Plaza de Armas when you want to escape the intensity of the historic center. I mean, parking is basically impossible if you’re driving (this is medieval Seville, after all), but honestly, once you’re here you won’t need a car anyway. The whole area is incredibly walkable, and there’s something magical about stepping out of this elegant little palace each morning directly onto streets that have looked essentially the same for centuries. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re staying in Seville, not just visiting it.

Palacio Marmoles is a wonderful place to stay. The position is perfect, right in the Center of Seville. Our apartment was so comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Rosario was so kind and helpful, she is a perfect manager of the property. She went out of her way to assist us.

  • Kamyar from Australia – 1 June 2025 (9/10)

Gorgeous architecture of the house, which seems kept to the original style. You can make a really good time even by walking inside the building and using the common areas.
Great location for accesses. Rosario was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. She sat for a good amount of time with us not only showing around the house but also explaining of Seville city and surroundings on the map as well as tips and suggestions for our movements, foods, bars and restaurants.
We also enjoyed the sittings in common areas provided on the rooftop of the building. Cleanness of the apartment.

What could be improved: Not the things that we didn’t like about this property but more of couple of notes:
We didn’t mind and it was still practical for our stay too but probably worth a mention for some others that our apartment didn’t come with dishwasher, though we were provided with whatever needed for washing the dishes in the apartment. Also the accommodation provides you with washing machine and dryer, which became quite handy for our stay, however both are placed in common which we didn’t mind that too as there are not too many apartments available in this building anyway and doubt that it can get overcrowded at any given time.
