You know what’s funny about Placentines 5? The name sounds sort of medical, but honestly, this little three-star gem tucked into one of Seville’s most atmospheric streets is anything but sterile. I mean, you’re literally staying on Calle de Placentines – one of those narrow cobblestone lanes in the old town where you can practically touch the buildings on both sides if you stretch your arms out.

The location is actually ridiculous in the best way possible. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from the Cathedral (and I’m talking about a leisurely stroll, not power walking), and the Alcázar is so close you’ll probably pass it twice just wandering around looking for dinner. What I love is that you’re right in the thick of things but somehow the street doesn’t get the crazy tourist foot traffic of some other areas – locals still use it as an actual route to get places, which gives you this authentic neighborhood vibe. The building itself has that classic Andalusian thing going on, and while it’s not fancy, it’s got character. The rooms are clean and comfortable, nothing revolutionary, but here’s the thing – when you open your window in the morning, you’re looking out at genuine 16th-century architecture, not some chain hotel parking lot.

Honestly, the 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there. The staff actually knows the neighborhood (ask them about the tiny tapas place around the corner that doesn’t even have a proper sign), and they’re not just reciting script responses about “nearby attractions.” Parking is… well, it’s Seville’s old town, so forget about driving here. But the Santa Justa train station is a quick taxi ride, and you can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing anyway. The only thing that might bug some people is that these old streets can get a bit echoey at night – you’ll hear people walking by, maybe some late-night conversations drifting up from the street. But honestly? That’s part of the charm. You’re not in some sanitized tourist bubble; you’re actually staying in a living, breathing part of one of Spain’s most incredible cities. For the price point of a three-star, you’re getting an experience that feels way more authentic than those big hotels near the river, and you’ll probably end up knowing your way around the old town like a local by the time you leave.

  Beautiful building, in a great location. The 3 apartments were perfect for our group trip, with a gorgeous terrace that was perfect for catching some winter sun. The hosts were very accommodating and replied quickly with any queries I had.

  Absolutely lovely apartment in a wonderful location . Walking distance to city centre . Surrounded by nice bars and restaurants.

  Beautiful 4 storey traditional building in the heart of Seville. Winding stone staircase at the heart of the property to take you from ground floor lounge and kitchen up to the following three floors of bedrooms. All laid out with large double or king bed,plus single bed around the corner, and ensuite bathroom.
  On the top floor /roof is a lovely terrace with sun recliners and plunge pool..with views of the cathedral from your sunbed!
  All floors are also serviced by a central apartment lift so no need to use the stairs if you dont want!
  Kitchen is well equipped with microwave, oven, toaster, washing machine, dishwasher and all utensils etc.
  Hosts were in contact prior to arrival with check in info and after our first night to check all was ok. Great service and holiday. We would certainly stop here again 🙂
  
  What could be improved: There is nothing not to like, but to note the apartment is situated in a street with restaurants and bars that are open to midnight-ish with 8am cleaning and deliveries taking place! Its bedroom windows, shutters and standing balconies overlook the street and its great to watch the world – both local and tourist – unfold underneath you!

  we arrived in Seville an hour before check-in time but the room was ready and we were allowed to check-in – truly appreciated and grateful for it. Location is amazing – three minute walk to the cathedral and 15
  minutes to Plaza De Espana. Best way to reach the staff is by telephone. Loved the full size fridge, washer and dryer, and the bedroom layout which was adequate for our family.
