Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about this place? The name actually undersells it. Sure, there’s pop art – some really striking pieces that don’t feel like they came from a hotel supply catalog – but walking into this apartment on Calle Adolfo Cuéllar, I was more impressed by how thoughtfully everything was put together. The design feels intentional without being precious about it, if that makes sense.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of Seville’s old town without dealing with the tourist chaos on every corner. Adolfo Cuéllar is one of those streets where you’ll see more locals heading to work than people taking selfies, but you’re still a five-minute walk from the Cathedral and maybe three minutes from some of the best tapas bars in the Arenal neighborhood. I mean, you can practically smell the jamón ibérico from the terrace – which, by the way, is the real star here. It’s not huge, but it’s got this view over the rooftops that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. Perfect for morning coffee or evening wine, depending on your priorities.

The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a rental – well, if your friend happened to have excellent taste and actually knew how to arrange furniture. The kitchen is properly equipped (I’m talking real knives and decent cookware, not the usual rental junk), and honestly, after a few days of restaurant meals, being able to make a simple breakfast was a relief. The bedroom stays surprisingly cool even in summer, though I’d still recommend visiting in shoulder season if you can swing it. Parking is… well, it’s the old town, so forget about it. But the train station is walkable with luggage, and once you’re settled, everything you need is within walking distance anyway. The check-in was smooth – none of that awkward waiting around wondering if you’re at the right building.

What really sold me on the place was the little details. Proper shower pressure, blackout curtains that actually block light, and – this might sound silly – but the wine glasses were the kind you’d actually want to drink from. It’s those touches that make you realize someone who travels a lot designed this space. The 8.2 rating feels about right; it’s not trying to be the flashiest place in Seville, but it nails the things that matter when you’re trying to live like a local for a few days.

Reviews

  • Anastasiia from Portugal – 3 February 2025 (9/10)

all the instructions sent by the host were very clear.

  • Barry from Malaysia – 15 September 2024 (9/10)

Self contained so had fridge dishwasher, coffee mackinaw, iron, hairdryer. Location was good. Direction on how to enter the building are good.

What could be improved: Parking was difficult as I tried to register too late by didn’t get good guidance about where else we could park.
Also limited shelving in the bathroom to put a bathroom bag comfortably.

  • Nonkovic from Australia – 3 July 2024 (8/10)

the location was in the heart of Seville which made it easy to access all the different sites. The apartment itself was cute, and very clean. The use of codes made the check in and accessing the apartment super simple, no need to worry about keys getting lost.

What could be improved: The apartment lacks some basic utensils for cooking and the bed was a little hard, but nothing major.

  • Sharron from Ireland – 30 March 2025 (7/10)

Arenal is a fabulous, buzzy location within easy walking distance of all the main sites of Seville. There are great cafes, bars and restaurants in the area. However it can be a bit noisy at night as a result. The Pop Art Apartment is modern and clean with a super little shaded balcony. It has a lift which is a bonus and also a shared roof terrace too. It is a pity that management or the owner are not listening to guests comments re. the ripped blind, shower head that falls down, the loose toilet seat, need for more towels and pillows, lack of a shelf in the bathroom and dead plants on the balcony. If these issues were addressed, in addition to the very worn duvet cover on the bed during our stay, this apartment would be a real little treasure!

  • Ann from Australia – 7 October 2024 (8/10)

Very centrally located within walking distance of most sites.

What could be improved: No electric jug. A bit noisy from the street.

  • Richard from United Kingdom – 28 March 2024 (8/10)

Good price, clean, light, nice area, safe building, good location for sightseeing as quite central

What could be improved: No kettle – but not a problem to boil water on the mini stove

No tv instructions or non spanish stations – again you don’t go on holiday to a fab city like Seville to watch tv but as we had bad weather during our stay, being able to watch an hour or log into our Netflix would have been a perk!

Entry code for the main gate in was a little fiddly first time ( you need to enter the code reasonably quickly so if you arrived in the dark, we’re elderly or visually impaired it may be a struggle till you get used to it)

Lift was out of action on arrival and it’s on third floor as I recall – again no prob for us but less agile visitors may struggle

  • Ortrun from United Kingdom – 17 May 2023 (8/10)

This studio is on the second floor of a very well-kept and super safe small modern block of holiday apartments, with a balcony overlooking the tiny streets below (too narrow for car traffic) and the roofscape of the surrounding houses. There was no noise problem at all (considerate residents and quiet area), except for a few hours on Saturday night (from 6pm-8pm) when a music venue opposite was playing very loud disco music. The location could not be better: about six minutes’ walk to the Alcazar and the Cathedral. Bruno, the contact person for guests, is fantastic – excellent communication by WhatsApp, turned up earlier than the official check-in time to let me in and showed me how to work the entrance codes etc. Whenever I needed to contact him, he replied very quickly and sorted the problem. He replaced the faulty Krupps coffee maker with a new one. Very comfortable bed, decent duvet and pillows. In spite of the annoying maintenance problem I encountered during my stay, I would recommend this studio.

What could be improved: While the apartment looked very clean, there was a serious problem with a blocked shower tray drain. By the third day of my stay, the water from one short shower took hours to drain away. Reason: the drain filter was full of hair. Rather than forego a shower the following morning and wait for Bruno to sort this, I cleaned the sieve out myself, put salt and vinegar from the kitchen down the drain, left it to soak overnight, followed by flushing with hot water in the morning. Problem solved. This is not the kind of thing guests enjoy dealing with.

  • Simon from Australia – 19 February 2025 (7/10)

Great location with easy access to many great sites, QR code for carparking was difficult to use but matter was resolved by attendant, lift was bonus, property manager was very responsive to requests

What could be improved: Shower hose & head was problematic to use properly, some extra towels and more storage space would be handy

  • Peter from Ireland – 16 May 2025 (9/10)

It is in a fantastic location. A 7 min walk to the Cathedral. It has everything you need for an enjoyable time. Nice little balcony to sit out on.

  • Janine from Spain – 2 January 2024 (9/10)

Even though it's small it has all you need.
