Hotel Description

I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Pop Art on Calle Adolfo Cuéllar, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The name had me picturing some over-the-top Warhol explosion, but actually, it’s way more sophisticated than that. This place sits right in Seville’s old town, and I mean properly in the thick of things – you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Cathedral, but tucked away on this quiet side street that most tourists just walk past without noticing.

The apartments themselves are genuinely stylish, not that fake Instagram-worthy nonsense you see everywhere now. Think clean lines, bold colors that actually work together, and furniture that looks good but won’t fall apart if you actually use it. What really got me was the attention to detail – even the kitchen utensils have this design-forward vibe, and honestly, after staying in places where you can barely find a working can opener, that matters. The bathrooms are particularly well done, with these gorgeous tiles that feel very Andalusian but modern at the same time. You know what surprised me most? How quiet it is at night. I was expecting typical old town chaos, but Calle Adolfo Cuéllar is just residential enough that you’ll actually sleep well, even with the windows open during those sweltering summer nights.

Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re positioned perfectly for the kind of Seville experience that actually matters. Sure, you can hit the big tourist spots (and you should), but you’re also walking distance from some incredible tapas bars that locals frequent. There’s this tiny place called Bar Eslava about five minutes away that does the best spinach with chickpeas I’ve ever had, and honestly, I never would have found it if I’d been staying in the hotel zone near the river. The neighborhood has this authentic residential feel during the day – you’ll see Spanish families doing their shopping, older guys playing dominoes in the small plazas – but it transforms at night when the nearby bars and restaurants come alive. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare (this is old Seville, after all), but there’s a public garage about two blocks away that’s not too expensive. The 8.2 rating makes perfect sense to me – it’s not trying to be a luxury hotel, but for what it is, it really delivers. The design elements feel authentic rather than gimmicky, the location is genuinely enviable, and the whole experience feels more like borrowing a stylish friend’s apartment than staying in some anonymous accommodation.

Reviews

  • Aaron from United Kingdom – 30 May 2025 (8/10)

Great location, modern and clean apartment with kitchenette. Host was very responsive.

What could be improved: Air con wasn’t working very well, had on lowest temperature and still very warm. Shower head didn’t hold in place so was not at a good height for shorter people.

  • Djonathan from Brazil – 20 May 2024 (8/10)

Good location and clean apartment with nice facilities.

What could be improved: The place hasn’t a good isolation from light and sound. It’s pretty loud at night if someone speaks or walks outside.

The room has a lot of light coming from the street and the corredor.

  • Kamil from Poland – 15 January 2023 (8/10)

    good location close to everywhere

What could be improved: broken air conditioning. it was really cold at night.

  • Anja from Slovenia – 28 May 2024 (8/10)

    We were in delux studio.
Location is perfect as everything is accessible by foot. Grocery shop 2min by foot. It is a clean apartment. Kitchen is well equipped, have also microwave. In shower cabin is no shelf to hold shampoo.

What could be improved: Bed is very short and hard, also pillows. Usually we are not sensitive about mattress and pillows but was really uncomfortable.
If you are coming with a baby, note that there is no curtains which can make total darkness. There is “rollo” and on sides and under the rollo, brightnesses is still coming in, so it is hard to sleep if you are used to have total darkness. No closets, just freestanding shelf, but totally ok if you like this style 🙂

    Location

  • Luca from Ireland – 18 February 2025 (9/10)

The apartment was very nice and spotless. The location is very close to the main attractions. A supermarket, a very good bakery and ice cream shop are just 2-3 minutes by walk and restaurant and bars are also very close to the apartment. I didn't need to take any transport to go around Sevilla and the bus station from/to the airport is no more than 10 minutes walking from the apartment. There is also a convenient locker 2 minutes walking. Definitely I'll look again for this flat if I'll visit again Sevilla. Highly recomended

What could be improved: Everything perfect, nothing to complain

  • Mandy from United Kingdom – 25 April 2024 (9/10)

    Location, cleanliness, balcony

  • Katherine from United Kingdom – 21 September 2023 (9/10)

Location was really good. Not far from the center and lots of nice bars and restaurants only a short walk away.
Apartment was very clean and tidy, spacious, light and airy. Air-con was very efficient. Only a short distance from public transport links to the airport. One of the best places we have stayed.

  • Sotiris from Greece – 15 June 2025 (6/10)

    • Great location: Quiet neighborhood, yet close to the city center and a supermarket — very convenient.
    • Easy access: Check-in and check-out were seamless thanks to the passcode entry system.
    • Cleanliness: Bedsheets and the room were reasonably clean.

What could be improved: Condition of the space: The room showed visible wear — scuffed walls, mold on the ceiling, and cold, unflattering lighting. The kitchen was quite outdated and not in the best condition. Additionally, the door handle was broken with exposed metal, which felt poorly maintained and a bit unsafe.

  • Catrina from United Kingdom – 5 April 2025 (6/10)

In a great location for getting around. Few minutes walk to sites and Santa Cruz. Due The apartment is great for a couple of days. We were there for 5 days and I think for us we would have chosen somewhere with a bit more comfort.
