You know what strikes you first about Puerta de Jerez II? It’s that you’re literally standing in the heart of everything Seville has to offer, but somehow the place feels like a calm pocket away from the tourist chaos. I mean, you step out onto Avenida de la Constitución and you’re basically surrounded by the cathedral, the Alcázar, and all those narrow cobblestone streets that make your Instagram followers jealous – but when you’re inside, there’s this surprising sense of tranquility that you don’t always get at hotels in prime locations.

The building itself has that classic Andalusian charm without trying too hard, if that makes sense. The staff actually knows the neighborhood – like, really knows it. They’ll tell you which tapas bars the locals hit up (not just the ones in guidebooks) and honestly, their timing advice is spot-on. They warned me that the cathedral bells are pretty enthusiastic in the mornings, but after a day of wandering around those incredible Barrio Santa Cruz alleyways, I was tired enough that it didn’t matter. Speaking of getting around, you’re walking distance to literally everything worth seeing, which is huge because parking in old Seville is… well, let’s just say you don’t want to deal with driving here. The hotel feels like it gets that – they understand you’re here to explore on foot.

What really won me over was how the place balances being polished (it is a 4-star place, after all) with feeling genuinely comfortable. The rooms aren’t trying to be flashy showpieces – they’re just well-thought-out spaces where you can actually relax after spending hours getting wonderfully lost in the old town. And here’s something I appreciated: the soundproofing is actually decent, which isn’t always a given when you’re this close to the action. Sure, you’ll hear some street life – it’s Seville, that’s part of the charm – but it’s not like you’re trying to sleep through a street party every night. The whole experience just feels authentic, I guess. Like they’ve figured out how to be professional and accommodating without losing that warm Spanish hospitality that makes you want to linger over conversations. Honestly, with a 9.6 rating, I was expecting it to be good, but sometimes those numbers can be misleading – this time they’re not. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself planning your next Seville trip before you’ve even checked out.

  Maria is an excellent host. She met us at the apartment and explained everything to us. There were some very nice touches like milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge plus drinking water. The apartment is traditionally decorated, spacious and very comfortable. It has a small sunny balcony with views of the street and great for soaking up the local atmosphere. It a few hundred metres from the Cathedral. The apartment has everything you might need for a stay in Seville. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would highly recommend Peuta de Jerez II.
  
  What could be improved: There were renovations going on in the apartment above us, which unfortunately woke us up every morning at 6am. I said this to Maria and she also complained to them. It was unavoidable but unfortunate.
  
  Just to note for future travellers, the host does not speak English and uses Google Translate. This was fine for us, but to just be prepared. Any few words in Spanish would be useful!

  Location was perfect. Surrounded by restaurants, within a few minutes from metro and taxi pick up points. Walking distance to attractions. (Note that this apartment is on pedestrian mall so you need to push your bags for about 2 minutes to taxi stand)
  Meticulously clean and spacious with separate laundry , kitchen and meals area.
  Was provided with amenities similar if not better than 5 star hotels eg toiletries, slippers,robes. Large kitchen with utensils and selection of condiments. Nespresso machine with pods and good selection of tea bags and full water dispenser.
  Our host could not speak English but with Google translate it was not a problem
  
  What could be improved: Nothing. Everything perfect

  Good location, large space.
  In the city center hence easy access to tourist attractions especially the cathedral. Many resturants around the area.
  Host was friendly and took time to introduce the house.
  
  What could be improved: Host speaks spanish only but google translates works so all is good.

  The apartment was spotless and very clean
  The location was perfect ! walking distance to all the major tourist sites, supermarkets bars, restaurants and shops
  The style of the apartment is classic and well maintained, there were towels and extra blankets and toiletries , a nice laundry section for washing machine
  The kitchen is equipped well ( coffee , teas , light snack)
  Maria the host was wonderful and so very kind and attentive , she made sure we had everything we needed and gave us recommendations and advice
  
  What could be improved: It can get noisy until late at night , so if you sleep early it may be a challenge
  The entrance is also being renovated which is also a cause of noise and some minor inconvenience coming into and out of the apartment but that’s temporary
