You know what caught me off guard about Pureza Triana? I expected another boutique hotel trying too hard to be hip, but this place actually gets it right. Walking up to number 73 on Calle Pureza, you’re right in the thick of Triana’s authentic neighborhood vibe – none of that touristy Barrio Santa Cruz energy, just real Sevillanos going about their day. The building itself has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream “look at me” from the street, which honestly makes discovering it feel like you’re in on some local secret.

The whole TheGoodTourist concept isn’t just marketing fluff here – they’ve actually thought through what makes a place work for people who travel thoughtfully. The rooms have this perfect balance of modern comfort without erasing the building’s character (you’ll notice original tiles in some spots that they’ve cleverly incorporated rather than ripped out). What really sold me was how quiet it stays despite being on a fairly busy street – the windows are properly soundproofed, which matters when those Triana late-night conversations can go until 2am. The staff knows their neighborhood too, and I mean really knows it. They sent me to this tiny ceramics workshop three blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise, plus they steered me toward the morning market timing when the best vendors are still fully stocked.

Location-wise, you’re a pleasant ten-minute walk to the cathedral and all that, but more importantly, you’re thirty seconds from the Guadalquivir riverfront where locals actually jog and hang out. The Isabel II bridge is right there when you want to cross over, but honestly, some of my favorite Seville moments happened just wandering Triana’s narrow streets – there’s this bakery on Calle Betis that opens early and fills the whole block with the smell of fresh bread. Parking can be tricky (it’s Seville, what do you expect?), but the hotel has arrangements with a nearby garage that won’t completely destroy your budget. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no fake enthusiasm, just helpful people who clearly take pride in what they’re doing. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you stay here; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything works properly and feels considered. If you want to experience Seville like someone who actually lives here rather than just passing through, this neighborhood – and this particular spot in it – hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  The front window drape should be fixed because at night everyone passes by and can see inside.(another suggestion would be to put a curtain)

  What could be improved: This is an apartment for a Couple! Not for four people. The street is very noisy and the sofa bed is facing the street. So the couple who sleep in the bed sofa wont be able to sleep.
