Hotel Description

You know what hit me first about Quevedo city center? The location is honestly ridiculous – and I mean that in the best possible way. You’re literally on Calle Quevedo in the heart of Seville’s old town, which means you can stumble out the front door and be wandering through those impossibly narrow medieval streets in about thirty seconds. I’ve stayed in plenty of places that claim to be “centrally located,” but this one actually delivers on it.

The building itself has that restored historic charm that Seville does so well – you can tell it’s been thoughtfully updated without losing its character. The rooms are what I’d call intelligently designed rather than flashy; they’ve clearly thought about what travelers actually need (decent Wi Fi, proper lighting for reading, and thank god, air conditioning that works). The beds are genuinely comfortable, which matters more than people admit when you’re doing serious walking around this city. What really impressed me was the attention to sound – the windows do a solid job keeping out the street noise, which is no small feat when you’re this close to the action. You’ll still hear the occasional late-night reveler, but it’s manageable.

Here’s the thing about staying in Seville’s old town – you’re trading some modern conveniences for proximity to everything that makes the city magical. There’s no parking lot (obviously), but honestly, you won’t need a car here anyway. The Cathedral is maybe a seven-minute walk, the Alcázar is even closer, and you’ve got about fifteen tapas bars within a three-block radius that range from tourist-friendly to locals-only spots where the bartender might pretend not to speak English. The staff actually knows the neighborhood – they’ll point you toward the good stuff without the typical hotel scripted recommendations. I mean, when someone tells you which bakery has the best pastries for breakfast and warns you that the flamenco place around the corner is a tourist trap, you know they’re being real with you.

The service feels personal in a way that surprised me for a four-star place. Check-in was smooth, they helped sort out some confusion I had about flamenco show times, and when I mentioned I was interested in seeing some authentic Sevillian architecture, they marked up a little map with buildings most people walk right past. It’s that kind of local knowledge that makes a difference. The common areas are comfortable without being pretentious – there’s a small lobby area where you can actually sit and plan your day without feeling like you’re in someone’s way.

Is it perfect? Well, the elevator is tiny (very European) and if you’re hoping for a pool or gym, look elsewhere. But honestly, when you’re this close to the Guadalquivir river and all those incredible walking routes, who needs a treadmill? The value proposition here is solid – you’re paying for location and genuine hospitality rather than amenities you probably won’t use. If you want to actually experience Seville rather than just visit it, this is the kind of place that makes that possible.

Reviews

  • Domagoj from Croatia – 29 May 2025 (8/10)

Communication with the host was super easy and prompt. The place has an air conditioner that’s not too aggressive – it doesn’t blow cold air directly in your face but it keeps the space comfortably cool, so it feels very natural. Cleanliness was outstanding.

  • Joan from Ireland – 16 March 2025 (8/10)

Cosy, comfortable, very well equipped, great location (central but quiet), excellent hosts 👍👍👍

What could be improved: Our only difficulty was storing our luggage in lockers nearby. It worked out very easily, in fact, but we worried in advance about it. Our flight home was very late (8pm) so storing our luggage was essential.

  • Laurie from Spain – 27 February 2025 (8/10)

Nice property in good location. Clean and comfortable

  • Denise from United States – 24 January 2025 (8/10)

Quiet side street very close to the old town. Very comfortable apartment on ground floor.

  • Caroline from United Kingdom – 29 December 2024 (9/10)

Accommodation very comfortable and well designed.

What could be improved: Lack of basic kitchen equipment including utensils for example no paper towels or sufficient tea towels.
The hostess was clearly stressed and didn't show us everything.

  • Dian from Malaysia – 11 September 2024 (8/10)

The beautiful apartment has everything you need for a convenient stay. We arrived after a long train journey and had a good night’s rest there. The kitchen is very well-equipped, the bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are super clean. The living area is generous, perfect for our family of four. Location is strategic as it is in the old town itself. Check-in and communication with the staff is smooth. There is a dishwasher and a washing machine. No dryer but there’s a sufficient cloth-drying area that you can use.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Sunshine from United Kingdom – 7 August 2024 (8/10)

Location is great, 3 minutes walk to Las Setas. Very close to shops, grocery store and restaurants. The entire apartment is clean with ensuite rooms. Highly recommended.

What could be improved: Requested if we could stay past the check out time since we had to check in late on our arrival, and flight was not till the late afternoon, but request was not granted. Just a bit disappointed coz we have a toddler.

  • John from United Kingdom – 20 June 2024 (8/10)

The ground floor property was spacious air conditioned well furnished and decorated with period features and with a large modern bathroom and a kitchen with an abundance of crockery, cutlery and white goods more than adequate for long stays although we were only there 5 days. No noisy neighbours during our stay. Pleasant secluded entry courtyard with fountain. Situated in a very quiet area in an old area of narrow streets, with food stores only yards away and an easy fifteen minute walk to main shopping centre and cathedral area. Couldn't not fault the property. Was met at property by the agent who showed us round.

What could be improved: Only comment is apartment rather dark with no view but not a problem as was out most of the time exploring.

  • Graeme from United Kingdom – 1 May 2024 (9/10)

The property is perfectly located for exploring the city on foot with many sites in easy walking distance. There are plenty of shops nearby with a fantastic selection of restaurants and bars at Alameda de Hercules just a few minutes away. The beds were comfy, the kitchen well appointed, and the owners really couldn't have been more helpful. We would happily stay again.

What could be improved: Not really a criticism, but it's worth mentioning that the walls are pretty thin, so noise from the lift and upstairs flat can be heard. This caused us little issue, however.

  • Nigel from United Kingdom – 29 February 2024 (8/10)

    Spacious, clean, all the amenities

What could be improved: Toilet was broken and an attempt was made to fix it but unfortunately it made it worse, there was however another toilet we could use
